One of Destiny’s strongest experiences has always been large-scale activities that bring more players together. Escalation Protocol, Menagerie, and similar modes created spaces where clans and fireteams could jump in, have fun, and feel part of something bigger without the time commitment of a full raid.
Right now, those kinds of activities are missing. Outside of raids, there are very few opportunities for 6+ players to team up in meaningful, replayable ways.
We don’t need direct reprisals of past content, but evolutions of those ideas, new large-scale modes that:
- Encourage social play and clan engagement.
- Allow flexible group sizes without punishing solo players who want to jump in.
- Deliver rewarding, replayable content that feels different from the standard 3-player loop.
Not every player has time for a raid, but most players want more chances to connect with their friends, fireteams, and clans. Adding activities for groups/matchmaking of this size would fill that gap and strengthen one of Destiny’s most unique strengths: playing together at scale.
I can't help but think of what Reclaim could have been if it were crafted for 6 people instead of 3 like everything else... but just no Wellspring-style things... nobody wants to escort a slow car up a path...

Needs more stuff to do when you have more than three people. Honestly, the Pale Heart and Kepler should be a 6-man patrol. Maybe more, even.

Destiny needs shared spaces. Right now it feels lifeless. The last several shared spaces have few of any interactions with other players. Caldera and the Pale Heart don't have random encounters with other guardians and NeoMuna is so open and unpopular that you don't see many people there either. Now with "the portal," there are fewer and fewer reasons to even visit the tower. It's unreal that Bungie has turned a massively populated MMO into a single player experience. The truth is, Bungie has messed up so royally that you can log into D1 right now and find the tower as populated as D2. IDK if we even have the population left to support six player activities.

Funny how they literally brought back "Expeditions" from the "Season of the Plunder" but didn't bother bringing back "Ketchcrash" the 6man activity 6man activities we lost *Menagerie *Ketchcrash *Salvage *Override *Sundial *Wellspring Bring them back because they was really fun

The new FotL activity is a 6 man.

Agreed that way more people can quit the activity half way through.

You say we don’t need past content - but I’d very much like for all the past raids & raid lairs to be brought back. That’s another 3 raids and 2 lairs we could have back
