It's simple, right now all we have is the portal, just bring everything else forward. The dungeons & raids are worthless now, no power progression or tiered loot.

Tbh having to go and refarm every raid and dungeon weapon we have already farmed for is just pointless. There is nothing that will truly save destiny at this point, let's just accept it and move on. Enjoy it for what it is and hopefully the future will bring something worthwhile to engage with. It's been a fun 10+ years that's the way I look at it enjoy yourselves guardians 🫡🍻🤜🤛

Won't work. Players like myself are never coming back. I stop by these forums when I'm super bored and need a 5 min read though...
-
The only thing that would bring me back is a complete reversal of Bungie's design philosophy. No more sadistic modifiers, no more "challenging" content that is simply there to drag out play time, bringing back vaulted content that is actually fun instead of more tedium, etc. I don't honestly care about gear tiers or what my Power Level is, as long as what is dropping is equal to or better than my current gear, and i don't care to grind hundreds of levels just to access higher leveled content when everything is always at a negative Power delta. Still waiting for that to happen, but honestly at this point I highly doubt it ever will and I am just watching the ship slowly sink. Not rooting for failure, just watching the fallout occur in a game that had so much squandered potential.

At least enable power gear to drop from dungeons, raids, etc. even if it's not new gear (which will take time)
It's simple, right now all we have is the portal, just bring everything else forward. The dungeons & raids are worthless now, no power progression or tiered loot.
I think it would just be easier to roll back the portal at this stage But the portal is only a thing because they can't maintain the bulk of the game So they screwed themselves with their greed. They wanted to keep adding content but never had the means to properly execute it. At this point they should take out the portal, refund everyone's money and just keep adding battlepasses to the base game to give players a reason to look at eververse...until they build up destiny 3 - they've proven to everyone they can't pull this off ...time to give up... None of the content plays right or works right anyways - a mass refund is what should happen...

Bring. Back. Vaulted. Content.
-
Removing the tiered loot system would be more successful in bringing people back !
-
want players back? maybe actually give a -blam!- about ur players
-
Nobody is coming back for that. Its just old content being brought into a broken system.
-
it is the problem really they took so much out of the game, if they had brought pathfinder, strikes etc in so we had a lot more to do then it would have been better no launched a new system that no one wants.
-
Why did they do the tier system with 20 or so guns? In a looter shooter? That's insane. At minimum every raid weapon should have been brought up.
-
Get rid of the deltas...even the power reset would be tolerable if you got rid of deltas...

Edited by ⒻⒶⒷⓄⓊⓇⒼⒺ: 9/23/2025 10:50:14 AMBetter off ditching this system and put everything into the crafting system. After that Bungo should focus on new enjoyable content which isnt necessarily based on just grinding (which is boring asf)
-
I wouldn't mind so much if the world loot pool dropped at our light level instead of a measly 200. At least it wouldn't cost 9,000 cores every time I want to level up some of the 400 plus weapons I've got sitting in my vault 🤬
-
I don't think they have the resources to do that within a foreseeable future. They need to tweak the power grind though. There needs to be a prime drop rate at at least 15 % and the scores need to be tuned so that we don't have to play at more than - 10 to -20.
-
They have to do something about the loot pool. So many activities that no one is going to run because too many of them share the same loot pool. We certainly do have a lot of legacy weapons in the game. If they update them, they should look into those pools too.

I had a first recently when picking up the controller. I would hop in look at the portal then log out. I found myself thinking “what is the point?”.

Edited by Harbinger, Kell of Reaping: 9/23/2025 3:03:06 AMThat wouldn't bring players back. People have to understand that Destiny 2 is a live service game that has high's and lows in terms of numbers of player engagement. People play when they have something to do and they temporarily quit whenever they don't. Engagement always goes up when something new pops up and then afterwards it drops again. Those people you think would come back with your suggestion they'll be back when Renegades drops and they'll leave again once they get bored. There is literally nothing Bungie can do to keep those people engaged. You have to love Destiny to keep playing Destiny. Some people aren't here for the grind, for the loot, for PVP etc. They only play Destiny for the story and main story beats only happen once in a while.

It’s gonna take em hella long to do that that’s why I’m not really playing iron banner all day there’s no point if it’s old stuff.
-
Nah it’s past that now . The dlc has some buzz but it will be the dem old same old with all the problems carried over . We had a good 12 year run and nothing last forever .
-
They’re saving this for a later update. They plan on drip feeding us “updated” dungeons and raids overtime. Don’t be surprised if you have to end up paying for these updates.
-
Bungie kinda lost their PVE end game with this new system. Once you get some T5 armor… what are you supposed to do? You can’t play with friends cause the only optimal way of leveling is solo ops. Every activity has to have -40 scalar. Edge of fate is a bust, and to think marathon was supposed to release tomorrow originally (Sept. 23rd).
-
I'm deleting my raid armour. All of it. It's pointless now but then one of The 9 said: "... always enjoy warming your armour, sunshine." (massive middle finger from Bungie to all of us).
-
My guess is they have neither the budget nor the bandwidth for that.
-
Agreed. The most common complaint in Destiny is the lack of content. Well after nearly a decade, there is PLENTY of content. There is SO MUCH content that more than half of it isn't even in the game anymore. The problem right now is that there isn't a reason to play the content. Dungeons and raids don't even drop items worth infusing much less ones with the new system. That's ridiculous. Of course people are going to run out of things to do when they only have a handful of activities that drop usable gear. D2 needs D1's "April Update." We don't need more Destiny. We need a reason to engage with current Destiny. Revamp the Strike playlist. Rotate the Crucible maps. Bring back Gambit Prime. Then give refreshed and targeted gear to those activities. Rotate in some targeted raid/dungeon encounter drops with each update/season. Bungie doesn't need to do everything all at once. Focus on VoC, then Crota, then TTK, ect. In the meantime, make EVERY activity at least drop gear that can be used as infusion fuel to up people's light level. If this is D2 in its End of Life mode, give it the Age of Triumph treatment. I know Renegades is already set, but bumping the light level in activities and one refreshed weapon per core activity isn't really asking much.
-
This should have been a thing from the start. All old activities, raids, dungeons, patrols, etc. All their respective weapons and armors should have been in the tier system. I would gladly be farming a T5 holofoil word of Crota right now if that existed
