Its GM delta. Why it is put everything, is beyond stupid. Playing -40 is not fun time playing. Bungie, look at player numbers and start doing opposit of what you are doing now. Numbers more likely will go up then.

3 Replies10% of the player population will say... 1) -40 delta is just too easy, you're dog poo and should -blam!- 2) Bungie should ban anyone who can't solo -60 delta dungeons and raids Bungie 100% caters to the top 10% and the content will continue to be made specifically for them and them alone. The top 10% thinks you should Facebook live yourself for even logging into the game that actually belongs to them.

Harder content is great for playing a few times and optionally. GMs worked great for this reason, with better rewards of course. Same for solo expert exotic missions or expert seasonal activities. However, the grind in EoF is insane. Running an activity at -40 a few times, no issue. Running it 100s of times, no thank you. If Bungie have an option to play at -50 at any light level, finish within time and get T5 at +5 power, I might do a couple runs each week. Not going to do it for +2 gear. Folks -blam!- about GMs tend to forget how few times they really rank GMs each week and how rewarding they used to be.

Edited by xbroggiex: 9/22/2025 4:39:52 PMBefore EoF your average blueberry could barely even handle doing a basic strike in the vanguard ops playlist, now Bungie is changing the baseline from that to w/e level you a currently at meaning those same blueberries that struggled with basic vanguard ops are now in Grandmaster level activities with limited revives, bonus score timer and champions. Bungie is beyond delusional if they think that should be the matchmade version of any activity lmao.

going by the engagement numbers on this lame -40 stuff, barely any players bother with it current bungie team is massively out of touch, they just design by f2p seminars and metrics - they have literally no connection with 'what is fun' at all

1 ReplyI tried to do some yesterday, with only one revive, people don’t stick around long enough for you to get more. So I end up slogging through the activity alone or with only two of us. Some of these activities are way over tuned as well….

Yeah, it always made no sense to me to have a chase for power level, but then have all the activities under-level you. They could've just removed the power grind and just kept all the activities at their negative deltas (or possible smaller ones), and the only reason to farm would be for which tier you'd want. No having to grind to unlock the harder difficulties they'd all be available from the get-go.

It's actually only put in Match made pre-set activities that you freely choose to play then complain about instead of playing and setting up activities to have some fun.

3 RepliesId encourage you to try it before letting yourself be too shocked at the -30 number, they changed how deltas work going into edge of fate and the big deltas dont mean as much as they used to. I have to be around -35 for A rank in solo ops right now and its absolutely cake, and Im not some pve goat using the most meta loadout ever. Put on a build that works and try it out it might be a bit of a challenge but its not as bad as it sounds at all

Game got ruined the update after they added Vault of Glass. It was the last time where leveling mattered and you were rewarded with more power. Now it's just be gimped to get gear that will be obsolete in months anyway. They should have created a modifier type system where more enemies spawn, more shielded, etc and we have to finish things in a certain time and kill "x" amount to get a high score for rewards and as we go up the tiers the modifiers would become tougher in terms of their perks instead of gimping the power level

It’s still doable but not fun. I get the grind to keep people playing, but it instead it pushes people away, so less players are grinding. It’s very random. You get matched up with a good fire team and then it’s fun, but that hardly happens. So I’m sure they have players playing longer, but it’s way less players playing the game. Really need to cut the grind in half and try -20 fire team ops just for a week. I’m sure that would be a big help problem. Is people already have a bad taste in their mouth and they should’ve done this before everyone started leaving.
