Hey Bungie and D2 friends I know FOMO is kinda the point. To a point. I am by no means a hardcore player. Destiny is exhausting and I have a life outside of it; I like to play when I have the time and energy. But what I want to know is [i]why did the seasonal ranking get reset after less than 2 months, yet the challenges start on week 9[/i]? It feels like there's an impression the game exists in a vacuum. It's summer. People are traveling, getting married, dealing with children, etc. Not everyone wants to participate in this ongoing guinea pig experimentation and being punished for spending money on this game is starting to get really old. Nevermind that the "new" season has over 80 days???? What the actual fork is happening? If it's still the same season WHY can't I earn the previous ranks? Maybe I'm overreacting. Am I overreacting? I don't mind missing out on other FOMO events but losing out on PAID rank content because it's being reset in the middle of a standard season feels terrible. Changing things up is fine but completely betraying the expectations around timelines to earn paid content is asinine. Literally nothing is lost by allowing players to earn and pick up their ranked content when they have time to do it.
