I'm trying to get a straight forward answer on how to start the mission for the khvostov but every link I try is gives conflicting info. I just faxed the witness for the first time and he ran of course after destroying the 3 statues so I THINK the campaign is done. Now how do I start this quest line?

Yeah, Exotic Khovostov is a little annoying to get. As others have said, there are articles that go into detail about it but what it boils down to is: - Killing each overthrow boss in each area in the Pale Heart and collect a note of Light from each (to unlock overthrow, you gotta smoke the Witness in the 12 man Excision mission). There are three bosses in each area; the Blooming has a boss called Koftiks whose more of Light often is a pain to collect. The best way is to keep damaging him until he fully disintigrates, even if his health bar is depleted, check the ground carefully after for a dropped item, and return to orbit after the fight just to make sure the game fully registers and picks it up for you. - You will need to open every single region chest in the Pale Heart for Encryption Bits. - For the remaining bits, you will need to interact with rubble piles in an activity called Cysts. To access Cysts, go to Micah-10's terminal in the Lost City, she will give a questline that unlocks all cysts for you if you follow it through, as well as access to keep repeating them for rewards. - You will also need to collect and place all the Traveler sculptures around the Pale Heart. - Once you have done all this, another secret region chest will unlock in the Divide (specifically, near the exit that leads to the Impasse). Open that chest to get a Legendary Khovostov. - Take this Khovostov to where you placed the Traveler sculptures. There will be another chest there. The interact for it can be awkward - try the side if you don't see the prompt. Open it and you will get the exotic Khovostov. Happy hunting Guardian.

Ooof, good luck!👍 That is one of the most annoying exotics to unlock. Should be plenty of YouTube videos about it.

There's no "mission" for the exotic Khvostov.
