"we want you to jump in with your friends to level up" that right there. that's the thing. this is the thing i hate so, so much: my friends and i don't play to make number go up, we don't think power grind is fun and cool and good. end game content is fun to us, and GOOD loot is good to us. ops is not fun: it's customer service, it's working the register at mcdonald's, it's cold calling from a call center. tier 2 armor is not good loot, it's barely perfunctory, armor 2.0 often has better stats for us. my friends have jobs and lives. i have neither, hence why i post here and have so many hours to put in. [i]i[[/i] put in the hours on behalf of my friends, so we can do the hard things, the FUN things. my closest gaming buddy hasn't even hit power 300 yet, and i'm casually doing solo grandmasters to slightly increase my chances of getting something that i'm actually excited to see [i]sardonic nose exhalation[/i]. when we play together, [i]power is not on our minds,[/i] except in the context of me being so overlevelled that putting them in my level of tier means somebody is not getting their minimum B score. my hope is that you'll untie loot from power altogether, though i doubt that'll be a thing that happens. why was solstice so overflowing with loot, when everything else suffers from a drought of same? reward us, the entire community, for playing your game, and we'll mostly happily do so. your stingy attitude is a contributing factor to the fact that grind is something that has to occur in the first place, the model itself is unrewarding and varying degrees of depressing, frustrating, and overall outweighs any amount of fun that could be had by people who don't play crucible.
