Great idea coupled with many other good ideas in this thread. However:- “You do know… what company…we’re talking about here?” Skeletor. And secondly :- “Never take the blame… redirect… and fail to be better. That’s the Bungie way of doing things.” Lord Bungo.

Heavy metal is such as frustrating game mode. Firstly brigs have “WAY” better mobility, tanks keep getting stuck against geometry of the map. But for me the most frustrating aspect of the playlist is the fact almost everyone I match with doesn’t understand the game mode. It’s a team shoot mode, everyone should be staying together and roaming in a pack. Stop separating and walking into 3v1 situations feeding the enemy free points and tokens (health and secondary ammo). Stick together, teamshoot weakest enemy first, and let the teammate with lowest health collect token. They can regen some health. Better to roam in a pack of everyone 3/4 health than some idiot keep stealing tokens be full health and your teammates both in red and be one shot next encounter. End of the day it’s a team based mode. Stay with allies, be mindful of their health and teamshoot the opposition and your guaranteed to win (assuming you spawn as brig of course).

Yes, bungie could even monetize it Imagine being able to customize your brig, with shaders, emblems, logos Brig ornaments Make it a permanent part of crucible, along with Sparrow Racing
-
or two more new game modes: Brigs vs Brigs and Tanks vs Tanks.
-
Rather have a full fireteam of guardians on foot vs 1 brig with all it's abilities they can use normally.
-
The entire mod is trash.

I wish we could choose what we wanted to play as and have more vehicles to choose from. It’d be awesome if we could play as Skiff or Vanguard gunship…

I hate that the tank can be pushed over. Then for the next 30 seconds you are like a flipped over tortoise, having a seizure. Rage inducing. Even setting the controller down and simply waiting for it to right itself takes forever. I have not been able to knock a brig over....

I kinda like tanks more

First time playing heavy metal feels like an abattle zone from the 1980s… but I did learn if I stand still, and just jiggle my joystick… pardon the language… I can die very quickly… the more I die the quicker my team loses… and we still get loot at the end… which is a lot easier than trying to grind out an “A” grade solo… so there it is… just die quicker… and how do you shoot that special shot anyways I can get it to target, but I can’t figure out what button order to push… oh well Caveat, I absolutely stink at heavy metal so my team loses it anyways … Losing in four minutes is a lot quicker than grinding out any other portal activity lol What’s weird is when I make myself a stationary target sometimes it opens up the enemy to my teammates to be hit from behind… so it seems like I’m winning one out of every three games… so if you see me coming, and then I stop… you might want to turn around cause my teammates are coming up behind you lol… The trick though is to keep moving your tank towards the enemy and then once they stop and wiggle your joystick back-and-forth that way, the game thinks you’re still playing … Also keep shooting your gun because the game will kick you if you’re not moving at least says you’re inactive but if you just go in circles and shoot your gun that seems to work…
🤔
Imagine if we had actual combat, like melee, "boss stomp ability", flight??? Bungie apparently gave us nerfed Brigs that can only walk, dodge & shoot

Edited by llSpAxXll: 9/7/2025 11:40:26 AMWhat would be good is have more faction vehicles in the mix each with their own characteristics. Some of the following coming to mind: Vex Wyvern Fallen spidertank Hive ogre? A new type of cabal tank Basically make an attempt to represent every faction in game apart from the taken and dredd. All with the same options with primary fire, a secondary tracking weapon and a jump manoeuvre. Just add some variety to the game mode.

Edited by deadman: 9/7/2025 6:01:01 AMThis mode could have been blast to play with a bit more options and better movement. Check Voidrig gameplay in warframe for example.

Tanks are trash. I immediately back out if im tank
-
Brigs are def easier to use. I have to do this weird serpentine backpedal while shooting in order to beat brig players that have thumbs. Or use a few different areas where you can leverage the terrain.

Brigs vs players

As much as I love brigs I am more at home with using tanks. I don't know if its cause I did better with tanks the first time we had Heavy Metal or because we have previously used tanks in campaigns and the controls are something I just have ingrained from repetitiveness. I like tanks, brigs are ok.

Imo just fix the tank bug.
