Why slap so many mods on to every activity players just quit . The amount of times this happens is ridiculous . It’s making activities much harder to complete for those who want yo stick it out. It also seems people who leave don’t get replaced . Playing this game is getting more frustrating by the day

Because Bungie is a terrible company, ran by terrible human beings, who absolutely hate every single person who plays this game. Bungie and the people who work there would prefer that you either quit the game or just die.
-
The people still playing this game are mentally ill; myself included, and Bungie is preying on us.
-
Agreed, it went from a game we play for fun, to a game we play stressed up as an unpleasant second job... More of us think twice before even starting the game, like "do i actually want to play destiny 2 crazy hardcore nightmare master mode and suffer trough it, or should i just play something else?". Player count is droping really fast...

What are you talking about? There’s almost no hard content in this game. There certainly isn’t any in the portal. -
Edited by Big Fase: 9/8/2025 11:40:54 PMIt feels like they made Grandmaster as miserable as possible today. They put about 6 to 7 negative mods. I guess it will force some just to play Heavy Metal or pvp period.

Conspiracy Theory : They really want you to leave D2 and play Destiny Rising.
-
Mythic Kepler, why make that so hard is my question. Well, not so much hard as tedious. (For all you "get good" people out there). Just ridiculous with the way they over tuned it.
-
Because a few expansion ago Bunie promised all the streamers and hard core elite players they would make the game harder. Bungie has been on this track every since. They wanted harder for some unbelievable reason; maybe they think harder is better and players will rise to the occasion. Fewest players on day one release in D2 history. Says it all about how players feel.

If you want frustrating try the GM match made version of Liminality. No one I’ve matchmade with is good enough to do the two room mechanics half way through the strike. And if I do one and then die in the other one, these noobs leave. They need to change that section so there is no revives lost from those two rooms. They’re frustrating as -blam!- even for a 7x Conquerer. And let’s be honest how many times have most of us actually done that GM except to get our seal? It’s the GM version of cancer, and without going into my tragic personal life, believe me I know cancer. In fact the GM version of Liminality is a fitting metaphor for the state of the game and Bungie. Difficulty for difficulty’s sake. Ridiculous jumping sections in an already combat heavy and difficult GM. That’s Bungie’s current MO. I don’t know about you OP, but I’m tired of this 💩.

That's why running Solo Ops is better than Fireteam. Because you're free to select your own modifiers.
-
100%. Most of the modifiers they randomly slap on activities are bad. Not hard, bad.
-
It is pretty hard, but there are specific exotics that turn pve into a cake walk. I won’t spoil it for you, because part of the fun of this game is build crafting and learning new things.
