linking and unlinking issue
So i haven’t played Destiny 2 in ages and i bought a couple of dlcs too and i want to get back on it but on playstation it requires ps + and i am not paying for that and my steam account (which i originally started playing on after moving to playstation for when i had ps +) is lost, i don’t know the email and password i used on it and im afraid if i disable the cross play and unlink my steam it will get rid of my progress on playstation too i just want to switch the steam accounts i recently made a new one and i want it to be that so i can play once more does anyone know if i unlink steam and link a new one will my progress be gone or no

In addition it has never been possible to unlink accounts that you don't have access to. Your old Steam is the primary account, meaning all characters, progress, inventory, etc, are tied to it. Though you may have lost access to the old Steam account, you've got a way to access the data through the linked accounts, while cross-save remains active. So, no you can't swap for another Steam account, and if you could, you'd lose all your characters and progress. You would need to work with Steam to recover the old Steam account. Or play on PC through Epic Games or the XBox for Microsoft Windows store version.

You cannot disable cross-save without having access to ALL linked accounts. As of March 25th, you cannot unlink a platform account from a Bungie.net profile. Your currently linked Steam, Epic, Xbox, and Playstation accounts are [b]permanently[/b] bound to your Bungie.net profile and you cannot unlink them to link a new account (ie unlink Steam to link a different Steam). You will need to work with the platforms to regain access to any accounts you have lost access to in order to use your characters/gear on those platforms. Bungie are not granting any exceptions to the policy and will not unlink any of the accounts on your behalf.
