Good riddance to the Season of Really, Really Bad Decisions
Kepler? Hideous destination. Unpleasant, uninviting. Matterspark? An answer to a question that no one asked and no one wanted an answer to.
The glacier pace power grind requiring endless rinse, repeat repetitiveness? Who thought that up?
Continually nerfing the things that actually made the power grind work a tiny bit better? Who's idea was that?
Continually taking away the few things that were actually fun? Who's idea was that?
I'd be hopeful of a better Ashes and Iron but, given the track record over the last season... I'm finding that very difficult.

4 RepliesThis is the thing that worries me the most: The specific nerfs, the specific systems, they're whatever, but the decision making process that led to them, and seems to keep leading to them, worries me. Who asked for Featured Gear? What player said "Gee, I wish I had fewer choices?" Someone at Bungie is pushing this game in a not-great direction, some decision making process is leading them to think nerfing Solo Ops would have been a good idea, and that's what worries me. If it were a few one-off bad ideas that wouldn't be a problem, mistakes happen, things don't work like you think, plans don't survive contact with the players, these things do happen. But the sheer quantity of bad ideas makes this a pattern, and it's a pattern I don't really want to participate in. It feels like Bungie is out of touch with their players, and that's a real problem in a live service game.

Players have been constantly disappointed with Bungie. You can check out my post from a few minutes ago, where I expressed my views.
