PVP is either Sweats or Cheats..
That's all that's left.. either really high ranked accounts or barely new and getting 50 kills in a game.

3 RepliesYea, on console there’s at minimum 3 Cronus zen aim botters in every match in the crucible. It’s so bad that the real players are starting to leave matches right at the start when they see them. This leads the match to a mercy rule or a stomp since the disparity between the number of players on both teams being to great. Even when the real players stay, it’s a stomp fest, where the team with the most cheaters will cap all the objectives and solicit every choke point. The match is almost always a mercy rule as well. That’s not the worse part. Bungie is willing to sacrifice the majority of their player base just to keep these dudes playing, as they seem indifferent to this issue and refuse to ban them. This neglect will forever stain their legacy and players will be inclined to avoid their other titles because of this careless disregard towards cheaters.

2 RepliesIdk seems like people like to throw around the cheater term a little to freely. I play a good amount of PvP every week and don’t see that many suspicious players. I think the problem lies more with lobby balancing. I have to carry a lot when I am playing trails or comp. Seems like more often than not I get the “bad players” on my team. Same with quick play I’ll throw down a 3 to 4 kd while my teammates are struggling to break even. Feel like most people just need to play smarter, use there radar more and learn the maps.

Don't get me wrong there's a lot of sweats yes cheaters encounter more than you should a few to be expected in any pvp game modes on any game but bungie has always lacked at that department Now as for excessive amounts hm no don't play comp or trial most sweats boom gone cheaters mainly in rumble from my encounters rarely see in normal pvp trials a bit more but that's like 1 In 50 matches and not every weekend I believe what some people I calling sweats and cheat is more latency lag and ping related like "getting shot through a wall" usually just latency 1 punch normal melees or post mortem melees also latency Cheaters aim bots rarely its more often just maxed out sensitivity with latency making it look like a bot and lag switches bad connections unless it's only happening everytime they start fighting someone and start to lose then magically they lag then stop lagging second fights over In other words it's usually your internet bungie servers or "skill issue" I'm not the best at pvp but I'm able to hold my own against the actual sweats in trials so my recommendation is loot at what there using check your connection speed and the little bar next to you name in pvp by pulling ghost out I for one didn't know that lodestar absolutely melts close quarters but instead of say sweat or cheater I played with it and instantly went OK makes sense

Edited by Ferus Lux: 9/1/2025 4:30:01 PMI played a match against someone who was invulnerable and could revive his teammates anywhere across the map and then he decided to just lock the game at 1-2 and dance on the capture zone. Before all this even happened, we went through a tie sequence like 4 times and kept restarting.

Right? I played two games the other night. The second one had a hacker with insanely obvious headshot aimbot, level 10 of course. PVP is a complete disaster. Can't wait for the event today... /s

Just played a guy that was a 0.6 last season now he is a 4.8....make it make sense. Plus beyond that does the scout rifle and auto rifles even exist in Trials this week? I literally need a prime on primary and haven't seen the auto yet and have seen 0 scouts

The PvP population is shrinking rapidly. All that’s left are the long term addicts and the people playing from day one Cheating is so easy and subtle now wouldn’t surprise me a huge number of people are taking advantage …just how it is now . I play a few game of PvP regularly and it’s getting worse by the week . My attitude is I’m just going to make the most of d2 while it’s around and enough people are keeping it going for now .

2 RepliesYeah it's really hard to tell if people are cheating and it's just as hard noticing if anything is being done about it. It's not like its hard for Bungie to catch them I keep playing against same people in crucible its dead they only need to monitor like 20 people lol

Playrd trials and im in the kiddy card with only 4 seasonal wins and maybe 20 losses. My team had a flawlessx3 teammate red glow too and enemy team a red glower and another with the newest ascendant emblem (I only have the old oneä). Yet it's me who somehow ends up drunk with 3.25kad and most kills but we lost anyway xD It's ridiculous. Before Final shape I could flawless drunk pretty easy, now it's just -blam!- confusing xD
