When playing Kell’s Fall this week, mainly 8/28 heading into 8/29/25, I noticed a few spawn bugs when inside the mirror realms in this mission.
When I died, it spawned me completely outside the boss area, before the door you go through to reach the bosses.
This means that when I respawn, the doors are locked since you’re not allowed to leave the boss area and that also means I can’t rejoin the fight.
The first instance was The Fighting Pit just before fighting Kaniks. While I was inside the mirror realm in The Fighting Pit getting revenant empowerment, I succumbed to an overload chieftain.
What happened is when I respawned, it put me in the room just before the fighting pit, which stopped me from completing the encounter. I tried to die again to see if I would respawn inside, but I didn’t. So I had to leave the mission.
I tired it a second time and made it to Fikrul. After two phases, I went into the mirror realm to get revenant empowered. Whilst killing pit bosses, I died to splash damage on my own Mint Retrograde while in the mirror realm. The result? I got sent into the room prior to Fikrul, right where you fight The Trickster (I hate her mines lol).
In general, in PvE, I get sent far away from any action which makes sense so I don’t keep dying, but some respawns just seem excessively far away and these are just two examples I decided to finally record. It stopped me from soloing this mission.
This was Kell’s Fall on Grandmaster with the modifiers Shroud and Caltrops along with hot step and a strand surge.
The system is a PS5 running the latest software it can as well as the latest patch (obviously) installed for Destiny.
