I recently upgraded my system to a 9950x3d, Asus X870e Crosshair Hero and a Samsung 9100 nvme.
All drivers are upto date including the BIOS and it is a clean install of windows 11 Pro 24H2 and i am using an Asus TUF 4090 OC.
The problem is that the framerates are all over the place, in orbit it can range from 200 to 500+ fps, which i realise isnt realistic, but even when i go to a landing site and look at a wall the rate is closer to 200fps but it can still vary wildly even in that scenario.
So the question is, is destiny 2 a game that make used of the 3d v-cache or should i try to change it from identifying it as a game so it uses all 16 of the cores?

Whilst i can't say i have addressed everyones issues and i certainly haven't addressed the issues of the game, i have addressed many of the issues i was having by simply running yet another format and rebuild without any of the apps such as winaero that claim to address performance issues by removing spam related software or functions of windows that are otherwise annoying. I have no doubt that these apps work well, but i think they require a lot of attention so as not to remove or disable functions that can cause problems with gaming or in many causes, the working of CPUs that have core parking functionality.

I am having the exact same issue. i9 14900KF 5080 PNY 64GB DDR5 RAM I have tried everything. My post would be hundreds of lines long if I were to list everything I tested. @Bungie, please do something about this.

You play on Steam or Xbox Windows? Cause I use Xbox, and because crossave isn't actually crossave, I can't do -blam!- about it, and my frames _seriously_ suck. My game even threatens to crash when I get upclose and personal with alot of particles and effects. It sucks. Sorry I have no solve for you, but I am struggling with the same issues _hard_.

there was no such thing in fullscreen.Right now, fps is not stable.

- Removal of Dedicated fullscreen was supposed to bring more stability but all it did was cause more problems with FPS, lots are experiencing the same issue. - 0 optimization patches since Forsaken, games bloated and just poorly optimized right now.
