Just like the title, here's the story: I play primarily on my ps5 and i used to play on my brother's computer with his steam account cause we grew up sharing it and when i came home for college breaks I'd play on his steam account. I linking his account to my PSN for cross save. Well now I made my own steam account and unlinked the cross save to his account (giving me a 90 day ban from cross save between steam and PSN). Well today that 90 day ban is lifted and I went to put my steam information in, wouldn't let me do it. Seems that I can only re-authenticate his account. Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong. Or if I can speak with a bungie employee.

Hey there, since March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink accounts, if you deactivated cross-save 90 days ago, that was unfortunately after this policy change. So the Steam account currently linked is stuck being linked. You are not doing anything wrong, it is just that there is no way to remove the Steam account. There is no contact channel for account or linking issues as Bungie do not manually alter anyone's linking setup nor give exceptions to policy.

Thats intended, earlier this year on March 25th Bungie disabled the ability to unlink accounts (except Twitch) from a Bungie.net profile. His Steam is permanently bound to your Bungie profile and for cross-save will be the only Steam you can use. There are no exceptions being made to the policy and Bungie will not unlink the account for any reason.
