We need new subclasses.

Space magic was a huge draw for many players when Destiny was revealed in 2013 and its hard to get excited for new releases without new powers to build around. The impact they have on the games sandbox is huge and I would say....scrap the damn Raids to make them happen. This is content the majority of players interact with more. Right now, its just weird seeing only 2 darkness subclasses. Hell, it doesn't even have to be a new damage type, since Resonance deals solar damage and nightmare stuff is Void based. Entering a new Saga without new subclass powers just doesn't feel good.

    Imagine a subclass that has kinetic viability. One that can charm enemies... and as they get kills, they become 'promoted' 👀. Isn't that an interesting modifier that we had no clue was coming? Pure speculation on the kinetic stuff. But that modifier & mechanic seems mighty coincidental. I'd wager we're getting the ability to charm enemies before the year is over. How cool would it be if it was SiVA tech? To finish Ash & Iron leading into Renegades.

    • Paracausal SIVA Necromancy Subclass The Guardian uses light and darkness charged siva nanites, to crush enemies, or reanimate corpses of the dead to fight for thier will People have always said they don't want SIVA because Humanity created it, guess what else we use every day that is man made to kill God's?, firearms, crafted by Human company's like Omolon and Suros, but our light gives them power, why do you think they glow when a perk is active ?

      Yes! I’ve got an idea Ability 1: Wallet drain. Throw a scythe that drains the enemies silver balance. Ability 2: Frame Grenade. Throw a plasma grenade upon explosion will cause massive FPS drops and crashes your opponents hardware. Super: Error Code. Shoot a stream of poison upon contact an enemy they will receive a random error code.

I would assume that refers to the dreaming city. Either taken or a new element would be the perfect fit.

      • Resonance, if they felt like doing something interesting, could be a "kinetic element" subclass. Think of it this way: each Darkness-themed subclass is thematically opposite a Light subclass element. Stasis "freezes" atoms into a motionless state while Solar agitates them to the point of combustion. Strand is about allowing energy to ebb and flow and using it as it comes and how it wants, while Arc is about taking just enough command of a chaotic energy in order to direct it into the shape and target that you want. Resonance would be the opposite of Void. Void energy is poorly defined, often described as the "closest to Darkness power while still being Light," but it's rooted primarily in gravity-based concepts like singularities. That is, it pulls things towards or condenses them into a central point. Kinetic energy, by contrast, can be defined as stalwart and unmoving. It erupts outwards and builds upon itself in opposition to the idea of Void collapsing in upon itself. Of course, creating a whole new element type to spec into would mean supporting it with new Prismatic aspects/fragments, burns, resist mods, etc so that by itself will likely mean this (and other new subclasses) are very unlikely to happen.

      • Hive magic.... It's been in the game for years It's definitely darkness based we've had entire seasons revolve around it and have actively been trained and have used hive energies and taken energies off and on for years... It's an easy pick... Corruption.. poison.. blight.. class effects done... Supers could use hive runes to summon allies or create prisons to trap them or utilize a nightmare to haunt them and create a reverse turret that attaches to an enemy and attacks them and everyone around them or actively drains health and ability energy from targets.... HIVE/TAKEN SUBCLASS WHEN!!!!
