Tell me to 'Git Gud' all you want, but 15 minutes to complete a GM is crazy to me.
Take Inverted Spire, for example... By the time you have done the opening section, got past the locked gate, got to the tank section & crossed the battlefield, THEN cleared the three plates, most people have taken up those 15 minutes, and you're only half way through the Nightfall!
You then have to navigate the rest of the Nightfall flawlessly because the game removes all of your stored up lives.
Pre-Edge Of Fate, we had 45 minutes to complete a Grandmaster Nightfall and now we have 15 minutes? Make it make sense. Please.

Timers are lame in all things D2.
-
They clearly don't play this game. 15 min killing all Champs and just getting past the tank area in inverted spire uses up a lot of the time. basically no revives at the kill vex area and waiting on the timer to cycle .what bone head set the times on the GM"s you need a new job . thank you
-
Want to bet they tested it in "dev build" where they're much stronger compared to release version?
-
yeah i get the timer ending for extra score, but why remove the revives? gms used to be 45 mins? this is a joke lol
-
So that you don't get the bonus and have a much lower chance of even completing it.

Edited by GPrime96: 8/16/2025 9:18:57 PMThe Battlegrounds are even worse, no way you would reach and kill the final boss in, lets say Battleground Conduit, in 15 mins legit unless you’re bursting down everything as fast as possible. I feel like the timer is way too tuned for Solo Ops.
-
I generally don't write negative comments but yes 15 mins is way to quick. Especially with all the hidden timers and the time you spend standing on plates and other encounters where you are just waiting for a percentage counter to go up. I think its an in advert ant and something maybe they just forgot to change when they made the option from Master. The old standard was 45 mins and the conquest GM timers are insanely long comparatively to how long it takes to beat them. Yes you could do solo ops........which imo are dumb, a snooze fest, and take way to short of a time to justify the loot associated compared to the other playlist in the Portal. You could do old school 3 stacking to maybe make it a little more enjoyable but doesn't change the fact the length of these activities even without modifiers do not match the relative timers it takes to do them at a higher echelon. Also, I'll play with just about anyone but if you die at the boss why do people leave? Just be patient and take the free loot if it works out. The trend of people leaving when you can still res them is the reason why giving this and other activities like this (and has been in pvp for years) a matchmaking option had so much resistance.

I’m calling it now, they’re going to put out a statement saying “It wasn’t intended to be 15 minutes and it was bugged” just like their last excuses
-
This game is dying rapidly…Bungie doesn’t care.
-
Timers are not fun…. Should be removed from all content immediately…. If I wanted to race a timer I’d play a racing game..
-
Edited by xbroggiex: 8/17/2025 2:03:05 PMThis is what happens when you put bare minimum effort into a system which is designed to be designed around being a minimum viable product. The portal and scoring system is nothing more than a generic system they can throw activities into with minimal efffort to slop out instead of actual new content. They aren't curating anything which is what they should be doing but they are lazy and greedy. But oh wait if the system is broken in a way that benefits the players with Grappler and Encore its fixed immediately, -blam!- this company.

I’ve just been doing gm’s with custom modifiers instead of the default matchmade ones, cuz no way i’m being -40 light under when a 15 min timer
-
Edited by NerfPaladins06: 8/18/2025 4:15:04 AMPlates before the drill and inside the drill is the only encounters you can't speed up by how fast you kill things. If you're struggling to get through in a timely manor, then yes... Skill issue. Liminality though is pretty absurd for the timer given. New GM's are NOWHERE NEAR as challenging as they used to be and frankly people shouldn't even be calling grandmaster difficulty GM's. Conquests are GM replacement.
-
Because the people at bungie are truly clueless.
-
Liminality on GM in 15 minutes is flipping hilarious. Good on you Bungie, really knocking it out of the park.
-
Grandmaster Fireteams are not worth your time, you can GM Solo in 5 minutes and get 100% more valuable loots. The difficulty of GM fireteams arent worth your time. Just Solo in 420 (grade A) and you have guaranteed tier 5 loots + shards/prisms
-
Don't play them. Only do the conquests. The last 3 guarentee Tier 5 weapons even when the scoring phase ends.
-
More importantly why are any ranks below an 8 allowed to matchmake for them, and why tf is it all kill based score when all these losers do is speed run past everything and ruin any chance of hitting the score bonus.
-
LMAO 🤣 I just posted that this morning that it's badly designed especially for BattleGround Strikes like it was rigged to have all your life tokens to disappear during or before the boss fight
-
They need regular players to test out stuffs, not Esoteric-type people. The regulars make up the larger player base.
-
15 min gms is pushing speedrun territory. Esp for stuff like liminality. I haven’t had the honor of trying matchmaee fireteam ops, but most of my sherpas for gms in revenant and edge would be 20 mins minimum
-
Edited by That Hot Dog OT: 8/17/2025 3:39:16 PMI posted about this the other day. I did 3 in a row getting to the end with 15+ lives only to have them taken away. If I had my own fireteam to push it would be fine, but matchmaking is always going to be slower.
-
There is no doubt that we are no longer playing this game - this game is playing us. At least that's how it feels...
-
There is a very very small chance of anyone completing it in under 15 minutes getting the necessary points because the enemies are hard as hell to stun. That alone right there hold you up from completing it in under 15 minutes.
-
You ever do liminality that one is even worse. It's the longest strike in the game. No one is finishing before the timer.
