Featured Exotic List is a terrible idea
I don’t understand why there is even a featured list? Exotics are meant to be special so there shouldn’t be a predefined list at all. With Avant Garde modifiers why does bungie force players to use a set of exotics they decide on. Let the players play the way they want. The list shouldn’t even exist. Restrictive and terrible idea

It is ridiculous, all exotics should be equippable for avant garde, just more evidence that bungie want us to play their way. 🤬

This entire expansion’s just a bunch of bad ideas mashed together. -
It makes it easier IMO for Bungie to regulate gameplay and isolate the bugs they have deliberately/inadvertently left in game. So they can "announce fixes" and look good. Play the way you want they say!

Because to bungie limiting the player is the main way to force "engagement" and "difficulty" without actually making different builds viable through thoughtful balancing and scenario design. Keep in mind the "buffs" for using new gear are really nerfs for using old gear.

Not just the featured exotics, but the whole "new gear" mechanic is awful. Its basically sunsetting light, since not equipping new gear in all slots reduces your rewards. Power level, drop rates, and tier levels all seem to be effected by your reward multiplier. They should remove this featured before Renegades drops.

Bungie needs to stop trying to force us to rotate our gear. I get that they want to sell us on new guns and armor, but every time they try it's almost always received negatively.

Fixes: Raid exotics should be farmable, instead of 1x per character per week (3x) All exotics should be "featured" thats why they are [i]EXOTIC[/i] Unstable core "mathematics" why does it take 10x the light level increase e.g. 100 power level increase is over 1K unstable cores. that takes minimum 3-4 dismantles. Ridiculous, the weighting is way off Raid and Dungeon content: RaD gear is at 200, RaD are not rewarding, there is only 1 new raid DP which gives new gear above 200 (if already above 200). Vault Space: I know they said its coming in Renegades, but they really should have included this with the new gear push. All those adepts I farmed in Season of Heretic are now sitting there. There are only a few new weapons. SO many different rolls and weapons are not viable due to "not being new" even though they are DANG good weapons. This would be fixed with removing Avant Garde modifier. What needs to die in a fiery pit: Avante Garde modifier Grappler modifier "Featured" exotics

I figure it's because during testing they probably came across a set up with the artifact that probably caused a very small weapon pool to actually be peak so they decided just choose themselves which ones would be peak this time

4 RepliesI'm glad i finally beat an exotic mission after a long break. Did Encore. Died a few times on pinnacle but 90 minutes for a first time run. I must have gotten lost 4-5 times for 5 min each.
