Why Nerf fun Bungie?
I just learned that Wishful Ignorance has been nerfed dramatically. Damage from Flechette Strom reduced 80%? Who asked for this?🤣. I was looking forward to running a build with that exotic for the first time, but now? Not really motivated. What happened to the Bungie devs that wanted the game to be fun? The ones that let us go crazy with Transcendence? Life is hard, games should be fun. What’s up devs? Let us be a little overpowered sometimes. That’s part of the fantasy. I’ve been playing since Dark Below, and as a veteran I ask you devs, “why nerf fun?”

There's a glitch you can spam the ability truly unlimited. I seen it both in Crucible and PVE and frankly it was more annoying in Fireteam Ops when a random did it cause it is A SUPEEERR annoying sound nonstop being spammed. Had to ask the random from matchmaking to stop because it was just a strike, there was not enough benefit versus the annoying loud noises.

9 RepliesAfter using it today. Its still hella fine. Remember it allows you to get your melees quickly with each pulse on allies and addq a fourth charge (it could be an exotic just for that tbh) And the dmg is still very good, they didnt butchered it it was just overtuned x)

5 RepliesMy understanding is there was a bug from interaction with Solstice Orbs that allowed you to fly and spam infinite-flechette, nuking all nearby enemies and bosses, which was likely farmed hard and posted all over on youtube. Instead of patching the orb interaction they nerfed Flechette Storm, one of the few decent Titan builds, looks like we get reduced to Solar melee or T-crash builds.

I realize not everyone agrees with my feelings about Bungie nerfing builds that work fantastically. That’s fine. There are much larger issues with where Destiny is as a whole. I don’t have the time or energy to even get into that. I’ll never be “that player” who will wow and amaze with my skills. I’m ok with that. I just want to have some fun playing the game and trying new builds at times. My dissatisfaction with Bungie lies in their decision to nerf exotics for everyone because some players excel at using it. Not everyone will melt bosses in GMs or Raids and that should be taken into account. Some don’t even want to play at those levels, and that should be ok as well. Bottom line, if top tier players have figured out how to get the most out of an exotic, I wish Bungie would just congratulate them and not take out that success on the rest of the player base. Just an opinion no matter if you are a Hinter.Warlock or Titan. Again, why nerf fun?

1 ReplyDid you ever think how unfun it is for the dregs when you use oppressive builds? Did you even remotely consider how fun it is for vandals to get one shot by your busted weapon roll? Probably not! Selfish! They didn't nerf fun. They buffed fair and made the game more fun for dregs and vandals in the process. Get over yourself! [spoiler]Please don't take this serious.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyIt really is baffling that while the state of the game is up in flames, Bungie still only thinks about prioritizing nerfs. And in PvE of all things. Who cares if something is broken in PvE? Are we hurting the AI's feelings or something?

Hopefully, Sony nerfs the “balancing” team. Until then, don’t play the meta.

1 ReplyWishful Ignorance still does twice the Damage of 3xCB+12P+Syntho+Grapple WITHOUT SETUP and you can refill Melee in seconds. It requires absolutely no skill and has no downsides. How is it fair to the other Classes? They don't have Builds like this in the first place. You know what isn't fun? Having to run around stacking buffs and maintain them at all times to do even half of what Titans can dish out in a fraction of that time. And this isn't new, Titan has been on top of PvE for a long time. I am all for power fantasies but then on all Classes and not just Titan over and over again. Advocate for all Classes to get such Build and I will support such complaints.

It was deemed too strong with the master and grandmaster modifier for melee damage and cooldown buff you can get. making farming Gms solo easy since you select you’re own modifiers. Punch builds are still broken on titan just have to build differently . What irks me is strand super isn’t synths applicable now its literally the melee super of the titan. I just run Solar now and never proc it for rest o on orbs and sprites. Every other class gets to use synth’s now on ranged melees so i guess thats a thing shrug ?

You had a few weeks, not their fault you were lazy. Also, it got 'nerfed'(fixed) because it was doing more dps than most supers.
