New story for new guardians

PROPPOSAL FOR AN INTRODUCTORY QUEST/CAMPAIGN FOR NEW GUARDIANS Hello there, It is no secret that Destiny struggles to create suitable experiences for guardians new to the franchise and storyline. Here's a propposal that I think could work lore-wise while teaching the core gameplay of Destiny For new entry players it would be cool if there was a mini-campaign totally detached from the main storyline. One of the the charms of vanilla D1 was waking up in the middle of nowhere and discover the new world and faction as you went along. A benefit of this campaign being detached is that players would have a single focus while not being totally disoriented when presented with the current state of the storyline on whatever iteration of the game they are playing. Now imagine this: Kinderguardian wakes up in the middle of nowhere, totally lost, but is found by loner titan/warlock/hunter. Each version could have their own little quirks that transmit the vibe of each subclass. Now, the function of these characters wold be to accompany the new player and train them bootcamp style on every minutia of basic gameplay: movement, shooting, ammo, vehicles, abilities, upgrades, missions, quests. Lore-wise they could explain this mini-journey as they did in the 1st mission of d1: you have no ship, you are stranded, and for some reason the other more grizzled guardian is too and is "forced" to show you the ropes and explains you the storyline to the present through cutscenes/dialogue. This cutscenes could be simple animations, a story around the campfire of the storyline up to the present day, and that could be easily changed for a new updated cutscene. You could also introduce pvp with a mission that pairs up with other guardians and say: "these shmucks have bet us that they'll give us a ride if we fight them crucible style" or something like that. Bungo could also tie this mini campaigns to class-exclusive equipment (armor, weapons, etc) that makes new players more invested in their class and character. ONLY AFTER completing this mini quest/campaign would the new player be "trown" into the open game, and even with that I would leave the mentor npc in scattered missions, kinda like Shaw Han but with a broader range. And that was my ted talk What's your opinion?
