Solo ops were actually relaxing and fun until the master tier difficulty started locking all the new event loot behind endless slogs of champions and intense modifies that make everything 2-3 shot you meanwhile it takes ages to clear a single room filled with nearly endless spawning enemies.
Who TF is play testing bungie games? I don’t give a crap what streamers think or what famous streamers want?
At what point is any of this loot, including tier 5 even worth it if you will always be F’ed by every enemy in the game at the “streamer paradise endgame”.
Stop making difficulty a bragging rights challenge, I don’t need twitch donations or the illusion of skill by wasting 20 minutes of my time on a single master solo op or 30-40 minutes on a single fireteam match made master op.
If I want to play a difficult game I’ll go find something like elden ring or dark souls 3, destiny is not that game. I don’t want a blood pressure raising experience 24/7 outside of raids and some dungeons.
I don’t give a crap if streamers get bored and nobody is impressed with them playing content that’s “too easy”. They can play other games or get real jobs like everyone else. They will disappear and be forgotten in a matter of time, they are not Keanu reeves or Leanardo di caprio. No one cares that much about these players. To the people who genuinely do, the people who would rather watch a streamer give updates on destiny news or livestream raid or PvP content than watch an actual new movie or show or anything else then I’m genuinely concerned for their well being.
You’re really pushing me bungie to stop playing until a new dlc drops and hopefully all this crap is long in the past. You’re sucking out all the interest I have left in this game by creating a game so annoyingly hard it’s no longer fun, since the “fun” doesn’t end. You just keep reloading the same missions to grind power.
It’s bad, very bad when pinnacle ops are more relaxing and easier than fireteam and solo ops of the same difficulty.
If I wanted the entire game to feel like a freaking day 1 raid, I’d just ask for it. But if it takes me quitting Destiny 2 to show how little I like this crap, then so be it.
Keep listening to your paid and sponsored streamers who operate in an echo chamber and prioritize content they can make money off of and or brag about beating to generate views and ad revenue.
You’re ruining this game bungie, the armor 3.0 just about saved this game. The new guns just about saved this game, but reaching this new threshold of “master” difficulty makes me lose all hope and lose all desire to keep playing if everything from here on out will just be a automatic day 1 raid experience from now until the end of time.
To whomever disagrees and thinks the game needs to be even harder, that they prefer this new “master” aka grandmaster 2.0 difficulty mode, then please go get help. Get therapy. Your family wants to see you leave your room. Your friends haven’t seen you in weeks and you should probably leave your house

It takes under 20 minutes to solo the whisper .mission in pinnacle ops even on grandmaster with modifiers set so I'm 20 below. Kells fall and encore are 20 - 25 minute runs. Solo ops are at all difficulties are 4 - 6 minute runs to get the objectives done for an A grade. At certain thresholds you have set them up to 30 to 40 light under but in no way do they take longer than the 10 minute time allotted unless you are doing other things and wasting time like I was the other day doing an ada1 bounty to get kills with special ammo. Still didn't go overtime and had at least 2 minutes instead of 5 or 6 minutes left on the clock. Maybe you don't get how to set the modifiers up and not using gear that gives you bonuses. We're expert solo ops taking you 20 minutes? For me expert, master and grandmaster have roughly been the same difficulty. Once you raise your light by 20 it's gets a little harder, for instance at 300 to set stuff up to get an A grade you will be about 30 light below. At 319 your only 11 below with same modifiers. Getting an A grade only maximises the light level of the reward. If the modifiers make it too hard you can set less modifiers and B or B+ grade and instead of getting +3 gear you raise your light a little slower but easier with +1s and +2s.
