This is worst than the first Sunset.
Never thought we would get anything worse than the sunsetting, but here we are.
Sunset v2 is worse than v1, in every single way. V1 removed content for sure, but left the gameplay the same, V2 removed the gameplay and content.
There is just nothing to do, why should i care about tier 5 armor when the bonus is so little if even worth it ? Why should i care about doing the exact same thing next season if i do get a good set now ?
This is such a massive f up by Bungie.
There is just far to little rewards in Portal activities and you have to wait for the daily reset for the targeted reward and mission to change. The weekly and daily missions also is not rewarding at all and there is just not enough of daily bounties. Seriously how is there more weekly bounties than dailies ?

4 RepliesSpunChiiyou make some valid points and I agree that eververse needs to be removed from the game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Its all going to change just hang in there Sony just announced in their last earnings call that they will be absorbing bungie into Playstation studios...bungie had their chance to stay independent but they blew with marathon and edge of fate -

8 RepliesYoure looking at this wrong, bungie will never say this directly but it's clear as day. Portal is the start of D3 lite, it's a minimum build of a new game, everything outside of portal no longer matters. When it's fleshed out in 2 years (if bungie are still a thing) it'll be pulled away as a standalone game & base D2 will be dropped & sold on its own like D1, by that time no one will care because no one will miss it as they'd not touched it in 2 years. Collecting tier 5s now, are important for the future, that's the incentive. Most of this year's dev work was on systems & UI, making everything work. They gotta start adding new content next year, if not renegades, which I suspect not. This is a new project pretty much. Not saying it's good, or right, but that's the vision, we are basically playing a game as it's being built 😂

5 RepliesIt’s even worse of what I heard. When the new dlc drops it will not only lower the light to 200 but also reset all the tier levels on the items. I think this will make a lot of players really annoyed.

I play Warframe for stellar instanced content. It has so much instanced content that blows my mind. Destiny 2 was supposed to feel like it wasn't trying to compete with that. Because it's losing.

Complete lack of content, anything outside portal is worthless in terms of gear, all the pinnacle exotic missions they've chosen (apart from whisper) are the worst, they could have zero hour, presage, seraphs shield, etc that are much easier to run but instead chose all the mechanic/puzzle heavy ones. They say there's no limit but the rewards offered drop down once you've run them and the wait for daily challenges to rotate and the limit on only 1 run per week of the expert conquest activity is a yawn.

I mean, it's nice to be able to not have a weekly pinnacle cap but the old system was still quicker than this tedious grind - not to mention that they could have lifted the cap in the old system, by allowing more pinnacle drops through pathfinder. Hence, I cant come up with a single thing that is better now. We lost all autonomy with EoF. they indirectly sunset 90 % of the game and the gear and there's no reason to ever play with people in a game that claims to "bring people together" - which it wasnt good at to begin with.

Bruh it's about time BUNGIE needs to do something about buffing these supers man it's laughable how unless some are and their age is showing more in portal how much of a buff they need.

Yeah they are doing it without physically sunsetting our stuffs hoping we would go do that ourselves. They just rework a way around things and just refashioned everyone’s hamster wheel to make it look more exciting. They want us to keep the wheels rolling just to pad some playtimes into the game. A re-iteration.

None of my old gear was sunset and I used quite a bit of it until it was replaced by something better. Still use my old weapons; don't use the new ones for the most part...The only weapon I have fully replaced with the solstice SMG outclassing my solar SMG and Aishas replacing all my void scouts.

5 RepliesWe literally have the same amount of content, if not more than FS - pre EOF. Nobody is stopping you from running around and doing lost sectors etc, but if you wanna level up you'll have to...play the NEW content. *gasp*

Power creep naturally pushes players towards new gear anyway.

12 RepliesI'm getting tier 4 armor with 75 base points, the few pieces of tier 5 I've gotten have lower than 75. T5 certainly isn't necessary. I do 1 million percent agree with you about the reset. It's insane to me they're gonna dropkick us all down to newb status and they think that's ok. I have not seen a single person excited to be reset. Isn't making all our new gear worthless by making all the newest gear "featured" and removing bonuses enough? This is straight Dexter level evil -blam!- from Bungie.

No it isn't. Your weapons were not rendered unusable. If they never even rolled out the tier system, you'd be okay with everything in your vault. Tier 2 and 3 weapons are on par with last years enhanced stuff and they drop like candy.
