Glad when Sony takes over.
I for one will be glad when Sony takes over fully the current state of the connection system and cheaters are disgusting. The grind for power yet again has got me so bored Im leaving the game like most of my friends. How can someone create a new acc over and over and cheat for months before a ban? Will Sony improve the game? Prob not in fact they will likely end Destiny completely. At this point only Destiny 3 has a chance to save the game but only if its has certain things to make it so. 1) servers - peer to peer in an online game is terrible and never worked and you know this. 2) Better investment in a stronger anti cheat system no matter how invasive it becomes it needs to happen and ban xim users. 3) balanced PVP weapons and abilities, some of the weapons are great in PVE but oppressive in PVP and no ability should halt movement at any time. You can't close the skill gap stop trying. Have better ranked skilled modes and some crazy type Mayhem modes to separate casual and high skill players a little. 3) new enemies, locations and never ever vault content again maybe allow ship customization and be able to fly it and speeder races back in D3. 4) A much more open transparent Dev team with more communication I know you have been trying and thanks for that. This game was one of the best games ever made its current state though is really destroying that image. Although we love this game that same passion fuels our hate when the game we love is dying when it could be saved. And I doubt any cheaters would read this but stop it your not cool in fact your just bad at the game and destroying it for us and yourselves. Tell me what will you do after you have killed of the game cheaters?

Sony would be way better. Nothing worse than the trash that's being pushed out right now. Literally mobile game quality but with worse coding and more bugs. Sad days considering this franchise has a world with more potential than most games could dream of. Greed will be the companies downfall if nothing changes soon.

Not saying Sony is going to get things right. But I would just appreciate a step back from the arrogance of this studio with some new heads making some decisions. I love this Game, but the Game designers do so much to shoot themselves in the foot. After all the feedback they have over the years, this bullet spongy mess of an expansion just alienated those stupid enough to stick around...

They definitely should not waste precious pve dev time working on PvP… it’s just not a PvP game, they have to fix pve with the highest priority

I don’t think that will be a good thing. I’m so sad and wishing we had a dev team from 5-7 years ago. I’m on Xbox and Destiny was the only reason I stayed with the platform until now… I’m readying myself for goodbye destiny and goodbye Xbox. PS whatever is on my horizon, and Bungie IPs are not…

INEVITABLE DEATH you make some valid points and I agree that eververse needs to be removed from the game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

This is an old game now, most likely it will continue "as is" with some modest changes. They acquired the studio and the talent too, they will salvage what they can. I would not expect a miracle.

The game wont be fantastic the same day sony takes over completely,it will take atleast 1year if they decide to do big changes to the game.

22 RepliesSony is probably and most likely highly monitoring Renegades seeing that EoF flopped hard. Who knows Bungie might end up not being Bungie in a year or two and just fuse into Sony if they fail with Renegades or even Marathon

3 RepliesIf there is a destiny 3 I want no one from this studio to work on it. I don’t want them working on something they continue to help kill. It was funny when they watched us struggle with their half done raid which had the most cheaters in destiny history. DMG and all the other devs thought it was hilarious on raid day now I find it hilarious that the Sony update will finally remove them. We say for years talking about who would kill destiny now we have the answer bungie killed destiny but not our bungie this mess of a dev team did. From top to bottom they focused more on stuffing this game with mirco transactions then working content. GGs see yall in destiny 3 hopefully Sony fixes this nonsense.

4 RepliesIMO: There’s already content planned- Renegades and I think a few other things for late 2025- and into 2026. I would highly suspect that Sony monitors those releases- and when or if Marathon releases. They see how players respond to those before anything else happens. That will probably decide how much of Bungie remains- and if Destiny 2 has a future. Bungie is already being incorporated into Sony- and are being given less independence. If Destiny 2 continues past 2026- there’s a chance the Bungie name isn’t attached to it- or it will likely be a much different Bungie than now. Destiny 3 is likely not going to be a thing. If it is, it will likely be a couple of years from now. It will probably be targeted at a completely different and new player base/ population. We should all remember- that even if Sony fully takes over- it doesn’t mean Destiny automatically gets better.
