I'm a long time Destiny player since 2015, following the original Destiny into Destiny 2. I have long periods of hiatus at the moment due to work, but I jump on when I can to follow the story and keep my light levels up to date. To preface, I play on the Xbox one console and have a tangible disc. I don't play any other disc games, so D2 remains in my console at all times. When I attempted to log in today, the game icon had the "TRIAL" banner across it. And when I went to load the game it wouldn't give me any other option than the trial. Now, that's weird, considering I OWN a HARD COPY of the game. So I ejected the disc and put it back in. Sure enough, the "trial" banner disappeared, and I was anticipating a possible update, but when I went to do an update, I noticed it was installing THE ENTIRE GAME. So I jumped onto my Destiny app and was dismayed to find all my light levels had been reset, my guardian rank had been reset, and years of progress was just wiped and I was set back to square one. Is there ANY possible way to recover my game data???
