I recently installed the new DLC and was eager to play it, but the game refuses to load character selection screen. Instead, it is stuck on Checking for Updates. I tried reinstalling the game, but it just wasted a lot of time. It doesn't throw up any errors, either. My ISP seemingly hadn't changed anything recently, so I'm writing here. It won't close via Steam either, forcing Alt-F4.
