This expansion has killed the franchise for me.
Insane grind to level up to get new gear.
Difficulty ramped up way too high due to bullet sponges everywhere.
Cheaters everywhere
Sunset for all our gear and weapons. (and it’s gonna happen again in 6 months)
Nerfs to most of our builds.
Matterspark really does feel as awful as they say.
The fun is gone from this game and that’s a sad thing to experience.
I’ve been with this game since D1 beta. I’ve done pretty much everything in both games. (Didn’t chase titles because they aren’t my thing)
I’m not a super elite player, (hence my Bungie name) but I’m better than average and this game is ZERO fun now.
I didn’t preorder, tried the first mission.
Got most of the way through and just quit.
We’re basically made of paper plinking away at bullet sponges.
No power fantasy, no fun gameplay loop, just hide and peek shoot over and over and over.
Congrats on swinging for the fences to keep all the sweats, streamers, and ultra hardcore players. Cause the rest of us are moving on to games that respect our time and are actually fun to play.
Destiny used to be fun, but sadly it is no longer an enjoyable experience unless you make it a JOB to play.
If they see fit to enact changes to make things fun again, I might come back, until then, I’m going to take my time and dollars elsewhere.
To those of you still enjoying the game. I wish you the best and I hope this model proves fun for you.
Here’s to all the good times. Wish they could have continued on.

There’s just too much grind now. I dont even feel like I can go into PvP because everyone is rocking gear that gives them and edge!

3 RepliesYour gear has been sunset? Woah, that’s crazy. I can still use all of mine! Guess I’m lucky…. And your builds are worse?! How? What’s wrong? Cause mine feel fine. In a lot of cases they are even better. The grind is long, yes, but it is straightforward. Regular play likely nets most people tier three rewards by the end of a season. Reminder that tier three loot is better than old loot. With the right rolls of course. I see so many complaints that seem to indicate lack of creativity and experimentation. Yes, these are new systems that will take time to adjust to. Where’s the curiosity, man?

You choose your difficulty and can customize it. Our gear isn’t sunset. I’m using all my old gear and have better builds than pre EoF. Nerfs and buffs happen every single time content drops in the game for balancing. I don’t like Matterspark in the campaign but it’s a powerful ability post campaign. There’s people who hate it while others love it. Enjoy whatever games you move onto.

The only issue i have with Matterspark is that sometimes you will get one shot. Other than that, i actually do like it.

I’m honestly trying to figure out their endgame approach without getting so pissed off I finally quit outright. Instead of making weapon chasing actually matter again they give us an arbitrary tier system for guns that you don’t even need because abilities are still king. I don’t really care about anything in game for the first time since when I quit during the double primary days. Even a new raid gun or exotic won’t make me actually do the raid. I didn’t even bother with salvations because there was zero weapons that I wanted, zero. My old raid patterns should be a tier 5, I worked hours to get these. Also the idiotic power grind and gating of content was such a horrible idea they’re losing players by the boatloads. Power deltas are stagnant yet we need to reach a power level to do said fixed power activity? Haha. You can tell this is new people ideas. People that don’t have thousands of hours already dumped into this game.

Its not just Destiny but all FPS games in general these days are simply trash until every company finally invests in installing AI anti-cheat systems into their games. BF6 is just around the corner and god forbid thatll be a nightmare too as usual...

9 RepliesGame is actually better for casuals - I didnt like the campaign special abilities either though. The changes to the way power works actually allows you to over level content again. My kids are having fun again vs being stuck -5 constantly in the strike playlist.
