Cross Save - Losing access to the original account platform
I've lost the original Microsoft account which my original Destiny 2 characters were created on. Unfortunately, due to some external security factors, this Microsoft account will be locked in about a month and deleted soon after.
As far as I know, this means that my current cross save account is intrinsically linked to that Microsoft account, meaning that my related Destiny 2 characters and save will be deleted on other platforms as well.
Is there anyway to transfer this account to Steam as the primary account which hosts this cross save file?

2 RepliesAll of the following relies on your main save data being your Xbox save data. Your save data is tied to your XBL ID in Bungie's save database for the game, and not stored on your Xbox or your Xbox cloud save data. That save data cannot be moved to another platform account, but with Cross-Save, as long as you have your XBL ID already part of your Cross-Save, you should still be able to access that save data on other platforms you've set up with Cross-Save. Once the XBL ID becomes unavailable for you to authenticate to, you won't be able to make any changes to Cross-Save, so you won't be able to disable Cross-Save, but as long as you have it set up as you wish, that shouldn't be an issue. If you don't yet have Cross-Save set up and your Xbox save data selected as your active save data, then you should do so before you lose access to authenticate to that account.
