Either tell us what champion type we are facing or don't have locked loadouts. Seriously. Load into a mission, have Barrier and Unstop on, get hit with Overload champs, and can't do -blam!-. Orbit, change to Overload/Unstoppable, load into a mission, and get hit with Barrier champs. Just can't win. It's not fun when I've wasted a half hour and haven't gotten anything done.

It tells you. You just have to look at the modifiers before you launch the activity.

It does, check the modifiers before launching. They change daily. It was barrier overload.

Edited by ben: 7/27/2025 8:06:53 AMEvery subclass can stun one, usually two types of champions with just their status effects so you should only need one or two from your weapons to be able to stun all 3 Facet of dawn = anti barrier for all of your guns on demand without a champion mod Ascension and lightning surge insta jolt which stuns overload

Just ignore the champions. In solo ops you just do what's required and kill the final boss. No need to kill champions.

The issue is that quickplay, you get all missions, and each one has its own champ type, so it would be impossible for them to tell you what you're gonna face. The easiest fix would be to remove locked loadouts, so that if you come across a champ you are unable to kill, you just change your weapon on the spot.

Actually, this is also an issue in fireteam matchmaking ops too. It doesn't tell you what champs are, and if you get unlucky that no one has an auto/smg/shotgun for Overload, like my experience today was on 'Empire Hunt: The Dark Priestess', you're not going to have a good time. Ended up having to leave because the Overload captain at the start just kept teleporting around and got full health back every time.
