Bungie stop investing

Stop investing in the wrong things. Start investing in what actually makes your game great. • Stop focusing on Trials. Instead, invest in Crucible as a whole. Competitive PvP is important, but the broader PvP ecosystem is suffering. • Stop prioritizing Raid Races. Instead, support raids in general. Make them replayable, rewarding, and accessible—not just a one-day spectacle. • Stop tying power level to rewards. Focus on making content genuinely fun to play. Challenge should come from design, not from arbitrary stat gates. • Stop building your game around monetization. Instead, build a fun game, then add monetized cosmetics for players who engage deeply and grind. The game should feel rewarding before it feels profitable. • Stop laying off your talent. Start hiring the right people at the right time for the right jobs. Passionate, creative developers are the lifeblood of your game. • Stop prioritizing politics, internal agendas, or external trends over fun. The only questions that should matter are: → Is this fun? → Does this improve the game?

    • Trials is paid content, crucible is free. Look at it as a business, not a player, because every decision they make is thru that lens.

      • One thing BHQ could do, is to introduce a ‘Market Place’ system - similar to WarFrame…where end game grinders can sell the countless undesired drops they get, to Casual players - who don’t Raid or do Dungeons. This way, everyone wins!! 🥳👌 That is all. Ease Springs! 👻

        • The thing they really seem to not understand is, if you make a game fun, people will play it without the need for pointless grinds to artificially increase play time. But then again, people who are basically in fear of losing their job no matter how well they perform, will never make a fun game.

        • This. 💯 This!!! Sadly it makes way too much sense for Bungie to even consider it.

        • You are preaching the right things, to the WRONG people. I can't help but imagine a tumbleweed rolling at Bungie, if they received your advice, along with an empty vastness, and winds whooshing in the background. I'm sorry my friend.

        • Are you trying to say they should use common sense?

          • You mean you actually want Bungo to put effort into their game? Hersey!

            • I'm starting to think the upper echelon of management realized this game's on the downward spiral, and it's all about cashing-in whatever they can get. Literally EVERY good idea feels understaffed or half-hearted.
• Stop building your game around monetization. Instead, build a fun game, then add monetized cosmetics for players who engage deeply and grind. The game should feel rewarding before it feels profitable.
I want to add to that: I'd buy a lot more cosmetics if I could buy them individually. I'm tired of buying a whole Eververse set just for the gloves or the helmet; when purchase comes with something I don't want, I'm way more reluctant to buy. If I could buy individual pieces, just the pieces that I want, I'd probably buy a lot more. Hell, Bungie could even charge a small premium for individual pieces and make the bundle look like a discount by comparison, I'd spend more, Bungie would get more. I understand Bungie's monetization policy, and it makes sense on paper, you want to aim for the biggest sale possible, but I very rarely participate in that system, the prices are just too steep for me. I'd be much more comfortable spending 350 silver on a single piece I know I'll like and use, than spending 1,500 silver on a full set and ignoring 4/5ths of what I bought. Sell individual pieces for a small premium, make the complete set look like a discount, the whales get what they want, and the minnows can afford to participate in the system. Also let us try on shaders in Eververse, I've been burned too many times before. That's another reason I'm reluctant to spend, I don't always know what I'm going to get. Sorry to soapbox, I just wanted to chime in on that.

            • WELL SAID!!! Bungie does not care, but you are spot on. I have been saying, FUN and ENGAGING game play will attract and keep players. More players having fun is more player who purchase stuff. It is more players who talk good about your game. It is more in every way you can measure metrics. If players are engaged and having fun they WILL spend more hours in the game.

            • Stop prioritizing raid races is wild. No thank you they are the only time we get hard content. Maybe play test then first so we don't get the desert perpetual debacle again.
