After logging into this nearly everyday and play for hours since the game released, i'm now playing once a week for like 30 minutes and I'm enjoying my life again

Once they announced they were going to nerf Gambler’s Dodge I lost a lot of motivation to play, but once I heard about the ceiling for melee damage ceiling getting reduced I had very little reason to stick around. I also just don’t like the direction the game is going in terms of classes. Everyone plays the same and looks the same. All 3 classes have slowly become more or less the same with slightly different animations. I’ll probably check in around Renegades to see if the game has anything pulling me in, but I am prepared for the possibility that I might just never comeback. I hope it doesn’t come to that though.

That’s pretty solid advice. Games are meant to be a fun hobby not a central point of constant negativity. It’s not only unhealthy for the person that’s perpetually miserable but it’s also unhealthy for others who enjoy the game to deal with. It goes far beyond normal behavior and is dysfunctional. It’s why Bungie offers help to those experiencing and struggling with mental health issues.

Live service are expensive to operate, logging in and playing what you enjoy is fine, just don't give them any money. Become a deficit, far better to drain the swamp than ignore it.
