I'd like to preface that I've not played much of the campaign due to work commitments and wanting to level up first, but what I have played so far, I am liking - narratively, at least. Whichever writer at Bungie wrote that initial scene between Orin and Drifter when she first comes back, I would absolutely love to thank you for not turning her into the overused trope if a jealous ex and actually have her be genuinely happy for him moving on and being with Eris (and even teasing that he has a type! My fireteam were howling at this line!) Also, I wanna thank the writer of the first lore card for all the datapad collecting we do for writing Eris Morn, former Hive God if Vengeance, a woman who has suffered so much, been dismissed constantly in the past and has never once been exasperated or annoyed by her situation... only to get irritated at the fact a Vex Minotaur managed to chip her tooth when she captured it. Eris Morn, exasperated at a chipped tooth! My girl, go fix it in your throne! Say what you will about the rest of the game, the writing so far is genuinely great and actually down to earth and[i] human[/i] for once. The characters actually feel like people I could meet and relate to, not just meet and be constantly in awe of.
