Please tell me I'm not the only one that thinks this. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.
Like, wasn't Solo Ops advertised to us as something different? Not these... fake Lost Sectors?
And Fireteam Ops... why is matchmaking disabled, and why is trying to enable it like trying to do rocket science?
And these "trainings," really? A seven step training not-"quest" for making a custom difficulty, when every other tutorial has been three sentences long?
This is supposed to be... better? Than the ritual playlists and directory?
Like, I know that Bungie is notorious for making expansions/changes that are either "WE'RE SO BACK!" or "IT'S SO OVER," with nothing in between. We all know this. It's nothing new. But man, I didn't think they'd hit rock bottom so soon after launch. You'd think they'd learn after all their mistakes to not fix something that isn't broken.
The Portal feels so lifeless. Nothing feels fun or rewarding anymore, and the new tier system for gear is not worth the hassle at all. This expansion had so much potential, and the result is a dumpster fire. Whoever tried to push these UI and gameplay changes off as "quality of life improvements,"... who hurt you? Did the Witness hurt your feelings? Did Lodi steal your wife? Like, what the heck happened my dudes?
This isn't even Destiny 2 anymore. This is what Destiny 3 could have been, yet we're stuck with Destiny 2-million-steps-in-the-complete-opposite-direction.

Im upset because omnigul strike isn't included. Perfect farm.

It's definitely not because when we saw was you were gonna have the option to choose what to grind for from the portal... Most importantly what we saw when the portal was the progression was a lot more faster compared to what we have right now the progression after 200 is incredibly slow compared to what was advertised from early access.. I just think streamers told bungee to slow down the progression... Just like how I'm sure it will streamer's idea to make it where you have to grind seasonal power levels for nothing and just to have it reset. I think the seasonal power should only be 50 and that the soft cap would be 350.. We should grind power but not so much the main focus should be the content new content and to grind for higher tier gear we should not be going after power first s***** reasons!

Your mom is two million steps in the wrong direction. Too bad they shut down the planned parenthood in your neighborhood. Would have saved us all this headache

Edited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 7/23/2025 11:40:23 PMYou know when you're engaged? To get you married asap, you're girl will make love to you multiple times a day ( I will put it respectfully, so I don't get banned), after the wedding is done, is one day a week if you're lucky... That's the same thing with Bungie, they lure you guys to pre-order once you're in, the quality of content is lowered or even I must say, revealed as a trash content like it is.
-
They sold this for a last minute pay check, they sold to Sony for the higher ups to get a big pay day and dip they don’t care about this game after marathon fails they leaving
-
The portal has been the thing that has killed this new era of d2 for me, it just doesn't feel like Destiny anymore Plus it's just so stupid and useless, the destinations tab was better for what it was for
-
I've said it before, and I'll say it until I'm blue in the face. All activities should have options for solo, matchmaking, and build your own LFG. Let people do what they want. It's not rocket surgery.
-
It honestly feels like a mobile game they've ported to console.
-
Portal is complete trash. The fact that this garbage got greenlit is insane to me.
-
Portal is designed around free to play audience. All this year our previously paid for season activities are will SLOWLY being rotated in and out of portal for free! Even weapon/armour re-rolls will be available for SILVER soon!

I asked help the other day, what’s the deal with Fireteam Ops having matchmaking off. They said matchmaking is only for quick play. So you have these other missions in the fireteam tab with double rewards and no matchmaking, kinda have to hope the quick play chooses it at random.
-
It's not. Apparently, Dungeons were supposed to be included as activities in the Portal.
-
Remember, ALL THE BEST BUNGEE TEAM LEFT.
-
Training missions were great... Did a great job explaining the new system. The ritual playlists and director still exist, "Tab Down"... it's that easy. And yes, everything is better.
-
Fireteam ops has partial matchmaking, only if you do not change any modifiers or difficulties, once you do the matchmaking is turned off
Like, wasn't Solo Ops advertised to us as something different? Not these... fake Lost Sectors?
Because the non-Quickplay Activities listed under Fireteam Ops allow players to go in either as Solo or in Duos without Matchmaking active, this gives the community what they have been requesting for a long time: a way to play through Strikes without other players so they can focus on completing Quests/Bounties without having to fight for kills against randos. This essentially fulfills what many players had in mind when the Solo Ops option was first described by the devs. And Fireteam Ops... why is matchmaking disabled, and why is trying to enable it like trying to do rocket science? The Fireteam Ops menu has mandatory Matchmaking for the Quickplay options listed in the top row, as well as having it turned on by default for those Activities that offer Bonus Focus rewards. The remainder of the Fireteam Ops Activity selection, which does not offer Bonus Focus rewards, also lacks Matchmaking. The combination of these two factors is likely intended to funnel players toward a limited subset specific Activities in order to keep the queues healthy with limited wait times. Offering specific/improved rewards and Matchmaking for all listed Fireteams Ops Activities at all times on the other hand may run the risk of further stratifying the player base between Activities, leading to slower overall queue speeds. It isn't and their out is the line of subject to change. They are basically building what they promised as fast as a six man studio can while everyone else tries to save disaster of all things extraction shooter. Man there is a product everyone has been clambering for.
