Let me preface this by saying that by no means am I dissing or basing this off of dislike for Star Wars. But I have some SERIOUS concerns about the content of Renegades. Let’s suppose, for the purpose of this post, that Bungie ISNT under a lot of fire right now for a variety of things. Let’s assume things are back to how they were before all the Destiny 2 Drama, or that that edge of fate was actually perfect even though it’s not. First and foremost, the universe of Destiny is just as cool and has similar depth to the universe of Star Wars. The amount of lore and emotional depth in ths game is UNMATCHED by any other game. WHY water it down with ANOTHER WHOLE UNIVERSE that is just as interesting? It’s like you people think you NEED to STEAL OTHER’S SUCESS in order to make money anymore. Uh, no - you killed the game with bad changes, starting with vaulting content and killing Cayde-6 who was the ONLY funny character, and now no one wants to play since these changes are NONSTOP. You don’t need to piggyback off of the LAST GENERATION’S flagship sci-fi series. How desperate are you people, honestly? My BIGGER concern is that ANY sense of immersion in the world of Destiny will be COMPLETELY DESTROYED. The sight of a SINGLE LIGHTSABER or Force ability being used will INSTANTLY break any sense of immersion into the lore of Destiny, WHICH IS THE BIGGEST SELLING POINT OF THE GAME TO MANY PEOPLE. If there is even ONE lightsaber, or character from star wars, I will NEVER touch destiny again, simply because there is no more immersion or roleplay. Finally, to my fellow players - WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF YOU SUPPORT THIS? ENDLESS COLLABS WITH STUPID THINGS. just like Black ops 6. You want American dad and Anime characters in Destiny? Keep it up, and that’s what you’ll get. DO NOT BUY RENEGADES. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GREEDY CASH GRAB. Some guy said he pre-ordered it because “Nimbus skywalker” and i’m furious. Do you all HONESTLY just want to KILL THE GAME????? THATS WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!!
