So we have tiers to chase now, yet we physically cant get T5 until the next update, making all the loot were getting now feel irrelevant on arrival. Especially if its T1 since even last year we could enhance a lot of our none crafted guns to have enhanced traits making T2 the bare minimum for even a side upgrade.
Armor stats now count each point, can go above 100, and armor has set bonuses, that's all good. But were limited on what 2 stats are paired together with archetypes. I cant get just weapons and health, and even then you need all T5 with 5 armor mods just have a constant 200 in 1 singular stat without font mods, and exotics cant even get above T2 right now.
Our grind now it just do the same activity over and over and over again, and its not even a new activity its all just old content. Also from the looks of it you want us to play the campaign 4 times over, no thanks the over abundance of puzzles actually ruined the campaign. Also thanks for sapping all the color out of the destination menu that we've had since destiny 1 launched, all so your hulu looking portal menu could be looked at. The new modifiers like "Low gravity" just make the activity your doing painfully slow just getting to the fight. Everything is just a bullet sponge at this point in the high difficulties, and the rewards for half these activities just give you 1 more power for the slot it dropped in. Also where did the hit marker go, why was it removed.
The casuals hate the update and even the top tier players don't like it. You gave us so many good changes, but they were all met with equal or bigger negatives that directly affect them. So I ask, who was this made for.

Edited by ForeverLaxx: 7/22/2025 7:43:34 AMRemember: this update was built on the remnants of an "end of life" plan for Destiny 2. The systems being used and touted as "the future of the game" were never meant to be anything more than an endless loop of re-grinding for when the game went into maintenance mode and only the most dedicated/addicted players were expected to stick around. Everyone else was supposed to go to Marathon or whatever their Matter IP was at the time. Since that idea fell through, they've taken the framework for an EoL update and are trying to package it and sell it as a standard game expansion with "more years of support and updates" on the horizon. Imagine if you were having a Going Out of Business sale, but decided to scrap that idea at the last moment and use all the signage and advertisement as a jumping off point for your Renovation Grand Opening instead. Because that's what happened here. It's literally an update full of systems designed to tide over addicts while the lights in the building die out, sold to you as a product meant to last and appeal to everyone. They tore the "Thanks for Coming" sign down and put up a "Welcome to Your New Home" one in its place. It's a travesty.
