Now that I have gotten loot to drop above 200. Here is my opinion
This is terrible
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this.
All season is just going to be diving into the portal playing old content.
Terrible.
Imma go play Ready or Not and wait for Dying Light: The Beast to come out.
Only Bungie could ruin a looter shooter
Adios fellas. Please take a break from Destiny 2 and go enjoy some better games <3
If you haven't played it. Dying Light 1 is very fun solo or with friends

Bungie thought that this direction for D2 was going to be a nice little side earner from the hard-core players whilst Marathon did all the heavy lifting numbers wise. Oh how wrong they were. Destiny 2 is now the only revenue generator for the foreseeable future for a studio this size? I have never doubted this studio's future as much as I do now.

3 Repliesl realized after 200 today . that the game is gone . l first thought bungie would have things better once you got to play higher activities but oh boy my heart sunk when I played several hours for just a few power level increase it's a sad day . knowing l don't have it in me to grind the stone to powder then re make it and turn it to dust all for a little more power level. destiny has derailed fellas . she's done put a fork in it.

I feel the same after 200. They need way more power ups per run ,plus 20's not 2's they forgot to add the zero. 100 hours running same activities is unreasonable bungie.just to level up and have it removed on reset . bungie needs to remove the power lock on all activities at least players could still attempt harder activities . that was a bad call forcing players to grind just to play harder activities .that will never work long term.

Boring farm to play old content, we already paid for beyond light, then paying again to play damm empire hunts lol, yeah new games on the horizon, having a blast with the Witcher 3, but I visit the forum often to see what's up.

Was the game any worse by the end of the last “season” when everyone was on the same level? I had all three characters at max. I could just play the game, any character, any activity. Only obstacle was skill. Light level is the biggest con in Destiny.

Edited by Joulevette12: 7/22/2025 12:38:36 PMThey really want us on the treadmill because now they disabled us from going back getting our forgotten old rewards from the "Destiny 2 wayback machine" to power up our armor This tells you this lvl system wasn't ready and still pushed forward IMO all weapons and armor should "PERIOD" drop higher a lvl from all activities not just portal it's literally making players spend 98% of the time doing portal activities this literally no different from playing one mission or strike over and over till burnout Don't get me started on the tier system that's makes it a whole lot worse.

13 RepliesThe new Destiny model does seem a little under-cooked as a player retention vehicle. Explore Kepler, find secrets, complete legendary campaign, earn seasonal exotics. Achieve roughly 150 to 200 power. Go run old activities gradually working up difficulty to hit 400. (Had enough yet? okies) Run old endgame, again and again battling RNG to get those tier 5 min/max builds ground out. Hit the 500 cap (Cue sweaty confetti effect) CONGRATULATIONS! you absolute legendary hamster. Get reset to 200 for next season and go hunt the new armour. . .. ... .... ..... Hmmmmmmm.

This is the content [u]paying customers[/u] get , with ONE location and ONE bugged Raid. No new Strikes, PvP Maps, Activities etc.
