Why It's Important for Destiny 2 to Support SteamOS (Linux/Steam Deck)
The gaming community on SteamOS has been growing rapidly, especially with the success of the Steam Deck and other Linux-based devices. Many players would love to enjoy Destiny 2 on these platforms, but unfortunately, the game is currently unavailable due to a lack of support for the operating system.
It's important to recognize that SteamOS is a lightweight, gaming-focused system that’s highly optimized. It has evolved quickly, and many major developers are already updating their titles to work smoothly on Linux. Additionally, anti-cheat solutions like Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye are already working on SteamOS and Proton, making it entirely possible to enable Destiny 2 without compromising security.
Bringing Destiny 2 to SteamOS would not only expand the player base but also show strong support for a growing and passionate community that's eager to engage with Bungie's universe. We believe this is the perfect time to take that step, and we hope this request is considered seriously.

You can still play Destiny 2 on a Steam Deck if you switch out or dual boot into Windows on the device.
