Congratulations Bungie. You did it. You have officially killed my desire to play after years and several (SEVERAL!) thousand hours of play. Been here since day 1 of D1 and what little fun I was having has been completely sucked out of this game. What a shame. The story was great. But the gameplay and increased difficulty garbage is the antithesis of fun. I’m not quitting (yet) but I think I’ll be playing FAR less than I used to until something is fixed or I lose interest altogether.

The Edge of Fate is what happens when the player base accepts mediocrity. This began long ago, which is why the overall experience has become watered down for those of us that expect that Bungie at-least attempts to exceed our expectations. Who at Bungie thought that The Edge of Fate would be successful? They should be fired. I barely even wanted to finish the first story mission. It was basically watch a trailer, run into the mission and then turn into an electric ball. If I wanted to play Metroid I could. I know that I’ll get some hate but sticks and stones right… Content like this is what the player base deserves. We, including myself, have accepted mediocrity over and over. Sure, some of the mediocrity has been more enjoyable than others, but the over all experience has little to be desired. Destiny used to be about adventure and space magic. D1 had a bit of a rough start at times, but it was the most fun that I’ve ever had with a video game. There were always people to play with. I met some great people back then. We would play for hours at a time. Out of a couple decent sized clans, I am the only one that continues to play through D2. Most left with the launch of D2. Bungie doesn’t have to try to reinvent the wheel with every expansion. They just need to show that they are trying to exceed expectations. Just try. They don’t have to though because we have accepted mediocrity each and every time and continued to throw money at the screen.
