First, I'm really glad Bungie has the option for players to earn some eververse items during the season, in this case specially armors sets, different pieces using bright dust. Or for events, i played religiously claiming most what i wanted while doing other challenges etc. But each time something changes in the system is worse, less and harder to earn. The next time i wouldn't be surprised if bright dust is removed from the game, as it seems they purposely make it less fun to grind so they tell that people are not engaging in those challenges and have an argument to change it. Just to remember how bright dust has worked over the years [b][u]During Shadowkeep[/u][/b] We had bountys, each core activity [b]Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit[/b] had 2 weekly bountys that gave 200bdust each, so 400 bd per vendor, total 1200. Also extra bountys gave 10bd each, so in 1 run completing all the bountys they gave you1350 per character, total of [b]4050 bd PER WEEK[/b] for the account. Not counting the infinite 10p for extra bountys. That for a whole season of 3 months is aprox 48600bd if you played everyweek with all three chracters. +2700 BD from the season pass [b]= 51300bd TOTAL [/b] proof: [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQAjwQP0Ipw[/url] [u][b]Beyond Light era[/b][/u] During the end of Shadowkeep bungie made a TWAB regarding some changes for brightdust, that should be more easy to earn though the season pass, not saying it was going to be less overall. They changed weeklys from 200 to 100. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/jkie5k/bright_dust_changes_coming_in_beyond_light/ [i]13 weeks x (2 bounties x 3 vendors x 100 bright dust x 3 characters) = 13 x 1800 = 23,400 BD from the bounties + 10,500 BD from the season pass = 33,900 Bright Dust earned by someone doing all bounties every week in a season. That's a cool 15,600 Bright dust per season that's essentially unobtainable, as opposed to earlier.....Great for people with less time to play, but for the people who play regularly with 3 characters, that's over a 31% loss per season. [/i] [b][u]From Witch queen to lightfall[/u][/b] Weekly bountys got removed, instead doing 8 bountys per core vendor gave 120bd each, per character of a total of 360x3 = 1080bd, but 10p extra bountys still existed. so, imagine you go to the tower and grab all the bountys in 1 run, thats a potential of 50bd extra per vendor x3, pero character = Total 1530bd account. Total for a season 18360bd + 10,500bd from the season pass = 29860bd [b][u]Final Shape[/u][/b] Hey, pathfinder, not very popular but at least wasnt too different from before earnings, becasue each path gave 150p, maximum of 10 paths, so 1500bd per week + extra 30p if you kept going. Buut the downside comapred to before was more playertime necessary. Compared to before, extra bountys for small extra bd gave 10p per challenge, but a whole path of like 5 challenges gave 30bd, so its was worse. [b][u]Today, Edge of Fate[/u][/b] Pathfinder GONE, replaced with a mini weekly battlepass with daily challenges 30bd, 600bd in the mini pass and the weekly challenges 40bd per challenge x 5 = 200bd so 800bd total + if yoy do all dailys is 210 more so total 1010bd playing everyday!! And its capped, there is no extra sources. Thats it. [u][b]So overall we are getting less and less each cycle what you could get efficiently per week from were it started and how its now per account, not counting extra bountys:[/u] 3600bd(1200 per character) > 1800bd > 1500bd > 1500bd > 1010bd(counting dailys)[/b] Redarging seasonal challenges and battlepass bright dust, its a constant each cycle. except shadowkeep, but shadowkeep still was the best way to earn Bright Dust overall. I might be the minority, because people hoarding tons of bd doesnt care, but i do. The Eververse rotating items and free currency should be accessible for players to earn, now its impossible to buy the weekly armor that costs 1200bd(for 1 character) and i cant earn more than 1010 even playing everyday. Sry but this was a small part that make me want to keep playing the game, now i rather not, you are treating your engaging players like me worse and worse.
