Why Can’t Bungie Write an Anti-Guardian?
Why must they pick up with another boring universal extinction plot?
Why can’t we fight an Anti-Guardian/Anti-Vanguard that simply wants to rule the universe?

4 RepliesI think that was one of earlier story concepts. There is old,old, D1 concept art depicting the known enemy factions Vex,Cabal,Fallen, Hive, and a 5th faction seemingly made of smoke and flocked by pyramids. I think that the 5th faction were reduced to the Witness and its Dread. I also suspect that the Desciples of the Witness. Were supposed to be Anti-gaurdians,and not just unique bosses.

2 RepliesModern writers suck at writing villains. First Villain: "I'm gonna destroy everything! Literally everything! Every single thing in existence! From the biggest cosmic filaments down to subatomic particles! You can't stop me!!!" Second Villain: "I'm gonna blow this town to bits! MWAHAHAHA!" And we're supposed to feel the same level of threat from both villains.

The closest thing we have to that is the Hive lightbearers, but an anti-Guardian would be an interesting concept.

2 RepliesThere should have been a Human Disciple Of The Witness In the final mission area of Arrivals(after you kill Nokris), we see a scene of all Sol species kneeling to the pyramids, including Humanity But killing a Human in PvE would be too dark, and effect thier ESRB rating, even though it would make the game more dynamic and interesting, and more realistic In Mass Effect, Reapers are the main enemies, but there is still a shadowy Human organization fighting against Shepard and The Alliance(Cerberus) But even the Techeuns we don't kill them, we save them, by shooting them in the face

Because guardians are weak If it were lore accurate(i think), the guardians would be no more by now -
