Destiny 2 on linux?

I've been playing destiny since d1 beta, beaten every piece of content the game has to offer probs sank thousands of hours into it. with the surge of people (inc myself) moving to linux from windows for various reasons. Would it not be a bad idea for bungie to add support to linux? easy anti cheat supports proton (that lets you use games or apps made for windows on linux) like how cool would it be to play destiny 2 on a steam deck? i looked at a few posts already and there are alot of people like myself can no longer play there favourite game or try it for the first time or get back into it. i feel like bungie are shooting themselves in the foot by not adding support in the long-term as linux is getting more and more popular every year so that is just more people who can't play destiny any more.

  • whos paying for the port, the new in house anticheat to replace the one they are using along side of Battleye, and support for the new platform? And that is treating linux as 1 platform instead of the 1000's of distros in a trenchcoat pretending to by "Linux". The potential new sales would not cover any of the costs let alone all of the costs and make profit. All of that for 2.6 percent of Steam users that play on Linux.
