Expanding armor set bonuses

I've had this in my head for a while now and I wanted to throw it out there to see if it gets any traction. I feel like the armor set bonuses are a fantastic addition but as it is it feels a bit conservative so below are the changes I would like to see made to make it a truly engaging system. Many of these ideas are inspired by Elder Scrolls Online as I feel they have a fantastic set bonus system that could work great in D2. 1. All set bonuses should have effects for 2-5 pieces and weapons should be allowed to add to set bonuses. That 5th piece perk would be very powerful as it either would require giving up your exotic slot for permanent uptime or a weapon that can only be found in the same area as the rest of the set and would only be active when it is actively being held. This would incentivize players to use awesome and armor all from an expansion without just giving all new armor a flat-out damage resistance like they are planning to do. 2. Every destination, dungeon, raid, and PvP mode should have a unique set bonus for their unique armor and weapons. This would give people a reason to farm destinations and give public events a reason to exist (regular completion gives tier 2 set bonus armor, heroic completion gives tier 3). 3. Every source of these sets should have an exotic ghost shell as an ultra ultra rare drop from just playing in that area/activity that can contribute to that zone's set. 4. Each Nightfall should have rare two or maybe even one piece sets (maybe a unique class item) that help players round out their stats and or provide a unique buff. 5. Set bonuses can include stat bumps to help a player who just wants max stats. But each set should have something that makes it worth a look, not just giving a speed booster or some equally useless thing. That's the basics of what I was thinking and I know this would be more work than Bungie would ever consider doing but I see so many advantages to the health of the entire game if something like this were implemented. What are your thoughts and what are some set bonuses you would like to see? (I would love to see a 5 set bonus allow warmind cells to drop on kills!)
