Can't log onto Destiny with error code Toad, uninstalling and reinstalling does not help
I have been unable to log onto Destiny on my PC for about a week, with it giving me an error code Toad. Specifically, it states that it failed to download configuration files from Bungie servers.
This first occurred when power flickered at my house while playing Destiny. It kicked me out of the game, and gave me error code toad. I then tried to relaunch, same error code. I then closed the game and relaunched the game, same error code. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game through steam and tried launching it, same error code. I don't know what to do with it since that was what the forum said would fix the issue.
I can launch the game to the title screen, but not anything beyond that.

1 ReplyHi there, Thanks for reaching out! Please try clearing the download cache to see if this helps. On Steam, you can clear the cache by going to Steam>Settings>Downloads>Clear Download Cache. You may want to uninstall before clearing the cache to be certain that all files are removed. If the issue persists, we recommend you try installing the game on a different hard-drive to rule out any potential hardware defects.
