I truly think that making this game similar to other live service games instead of continuing to separate itself from them is a mistake.
It seemed like the majority of the community(and Bungie) kind of agreed that temporary was bad. And yet we’re about to enter the era of temporary. Use temporary destination gimmick abilities while earning new gear with temporary buffs that you upgrade with a temporary resource to increase your new temporary power level. Repeat every content drop.
And this is all fresh on the heels of the loss of meaningful bad luck protection that came with Revenant. I also truly believe that instead of being burned to the ground, crafting should have been balanced and expanded on in meaningful ways that make it fun and rewarding.
That’s the feedback. This new direction for the game is a hard pass and it wasn’t even a hard decision. Even if it wasn’t a pass for me, the lack of interest for this new direction among my friends/clan is staggering.

Don't remember live service games being temporary nowadays, most have permanent contents except seasonal stuffs like ranked or battle pass. Destiny is probably the only one with temporary content
