Could you give us poor frustrated players more vault space, 1200 spaces would be great with all new guns, armor about to drop in new season 700 not enough. Thanks

This is a looter shooter. Not a vault chess game. Give us 10000 vault slots so that we can actually just play the game. If I have 15 versions of one weapon that's my prerogative. That's how I play my game. There is a changing meta that makes it impossible for anyone to know what they'll need in the future. This is literally by design. And it literally just happened again. Stop putting caps on everything to force longer engagement. To all you Bungie apologists - stop it. Not holding this developer accountable to their fans literally drove everyone away.

Crafting solved this but you all cried about that. Pick your battles.
-
Clear out your vault.
-
I, to this day, don't get how any of you are running out of vault space. What are you people keeping in there?
-
It time clear your vault, All Amour and weapon will be useless..

Peregrine
Peregrine - old
Your vault is full of -blam!- E. Give yourself a shake and clean it out🤣 -
Stop hoarding useless dupes and other pointless stuff
-
And then what? you going to hoard another 500 weapons with 15 different versions of a single weapon that you will never use? Going forward into the dlc you'll be deleting most of the things you dont use going forward lol
-
keep your vault clean, atm you should have at least 100 free slots
-
I hate when people say "dEltE StUfF" Bungie definitely needs to increase it
-
We need a more permanent solution instead of just giving us more vault space. If they do increase the cap to 1,200 within a year there will be people demanding more vault space. Crafting didn’t solve this problem instead it delayed the problem. I do believe there is a large contingent of people who hoard useless junk. I think you should audit your vault and clean some junk out.

Apparently, it is a client side issue where some clients (likely old gen consoles) are not capable of dealing with more than 700 item slots at a time.

I have been playing for around 6 years and probably use somewhere around only 1/4 to 1/3 of my vault in reality. Weapons that are "god rolled" but with little to no play time are useless to me, so I deleted most of everything that I already had a similar roll of. For example, why would I keep a Patron of Lost Causes with Triple Tap and Kinetic Tremors when I already have a Nameless Midnight with the same exact roll for a difference of only 20 RPM slower and far more play time on? Sure, the model is nice but they fill the same role so they are directly competing with each other for the same slot. It makes sense to keep around one to two rolls of each type of weapon for surges/seasonal mods/PvP, because when push comes to shove I will pick one favorite for that slot and ignore the rest in the vault. Working off that mindset, I have reduced my vault to just under 400 currently, and hoping to work down to 350 ideally before July.

This is a great story. A looter/shooter that won't let you keep all the loot you want. Sounds like a winning formula.
-
And just qol for the vault period. Last major change made the vault accessible from character menus, which is good, but how about better categorizing and sorting with options to mark items.
-
The answer here is no vault. Just save our earned legendary rolls to Collections like how exotics work. I’d love to never have to curate, rummage in or otherwise play Destiny Vault Management ever again. It’s a crap game.
-
Hey Bungie, just give us all the vault space of those players who already left the game... I think it would be just enough :)
-
They are.. The're sunsetting all you gear.. Might as well just delete it all now
-
I had 699 slots used, plus 3x postmaster. Yesterday I deleted 200 things: most legendary armor in my vault and many old weapons. And I still have 3-5 duplicates of some weapons. You do the same!

Edited by Hyperstorm76: 6/18/2025 1:49:02 PMThe easy solution is that each character has a vault for their class' armour while the weapons vault is shared by both/all three. Or allow us to save a weapon - including its roll - to collections and can get that particular weapon and roll from collections again if we decide we need it. Get a better to? Overwrite your existing in collections.

Edited by Zonepatrol: 6/18/2025 1:40:04 PMCurrent game mechanics promote hoarding. Rare high stat rolls for armor especially exotic. Weapons requiring dozens of steps to complete. Unique one time only rolls. Weapon unlocks that are only on that rare roll. Making armor less RNG based is needed. Weapons that permanently unlock mods that can be pulled from our collections list would help. My hope is updates fix required storage space and are not some hidden sunset mechanic.
Could you give us poor frustrated players more vault space, 1200 spaces would be great with all new guns, armor about to drop in new season 700 not enough. Thanks
Empty your vault of useless and trash items, and then you'll suddenly have more than enough space. You don't need to hoard things, and they have already stated that nothing is being done to vaults with this next dlc.

Latest episode of hoarders. Your beloved trash will be rendered obsolete soon. Just quit hoarding garbo.
