Hard crash to desktop [Error Code: Broccoli]

Hi. Recently been getting back into Destiny 2 after a pause, and started having issues about a week or so ago. During any activity (hence the Gambit suspension at the start), I've been getting hard crashed to desktop repeatedly, with no consistant way of identifying why. In this video it doesnt actually pop up with "Error Code: Broccoli", though 9/10 times it comes up as this. I've made sure I have the most recent Nvidia drivers, changed graphics settings ingame to no avail. I've attempted verifying the game files, which has not helped. The only thing I'm short on is uninstalling the game... Does anyone have any experience with this problem? And no, it does not affect other games, the pc runs flawlessly with all other games, multitasking etc, only seems to be Destiny 2 as far as I've figured out. Appreciate any help in advance!

 • Hello there! It's funny, but the problem is in the latest versions of the Nvidia driver. You need to install driver version 576.28 and then the problem will disappear. I encountered this problem myself (I haven't entered the game for a long time), RTX 4060 and the driver was the latest (576.52). Tried 576.66 (hotfix), the problem remained. Haven't tried 576.80 yet. Installed 576.28 - the problem disappeared!

 • Hi there, Thank you for reaching out and for the linked video. We understand you've been persistently encountering error code Broccoli. We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine how this would cause concern. As it sounds as though the troubleshooting in our guide for this code hasn't addressed its recurrence, you may wish to try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Enable "Game Mode" in Windows 10 or, if you already have "Game Mode" enabled, try disabling it. 2. If you use EVGA Precision for overclocking, you may want to disable that since it doesn't play well with Destiny 2. MSI Afterburner might be a good alternative to use. 3. In your Settings, cap your framerate to keep GPU usage below 90% to see if this helps. 4. If you have an NVIDIA graphics cards, see if the card stabilizes using NVIDIA's temporary debug mode. 5. Some players have reported that a mild underclock for GPU clock of around -100MHz and GPU memory around -50MHzz may help with this issue.
If you continue to encounter Broccoli after the above steps, then you may wish to see if reinstalling the game helps.
