armor 3.0 is going to Sunset ME!
I can’t be the only one that feels a bit discouraged about armor 3.0
One of the first rules in the Art of war is to make sure you even want to go to war. I definitely feel a bit discouraged about edge of fate. Truth is I’m 40 years old now. I once heard a developer say “we want people to marry Destiny” it’s been a toxic marriage. But I’ve held on and been faithful since 2014. Some might even say I held on longer than I should have. When I think about all the times I went flawless to get pinnacle armor or all the GM’s I beat to get the best weapons. I don’t feel too excited to start all of that over again. A good indicator of the future is the past. I’ve had a lot of good moments with Bungie, but it looks like it may be the end of the road for this Texas cowboy. It’s looking like it’s time for me to tip my hat and ride off in the sunset. Maybe I’ll go find a woman and get married. I suppose it’s time for me to have children and just be a family man. See you guys star side.

Edited by Smudger: 6/16/2025 2:04:22 PMI've recently had about 4 or 5 months off of the game, and I've just returned about 2 weeks ago, and tbh I've thoroughly enjoyed this episode so far. Sometimes, a break is what's needed. Personally, I'm looking forward to the weapon and armour changes, especially the armour ones. I haven't had to grind for new armour for about 2 and half years on all 3 characters. When i felt burnt out recently and had my break, i thought the only thing that would bring me back was a complete fresh start, like a D3. They made it clear that wasn't going to happen, so to me, this is the next best thing. Is it ideal no, not really, but it's reinstated a bit of excitement about rebuilding my characters again. This is just my opinion, though. Bud if you feel the need to ride off into the sunset as you put it you go for it. Happy trails.
