The gun needs help, very underperforming for an Exotic Heavy. Catalyst should be Field Prep for more reserves and faster reload which the gun needs, also Bait and Switch for more damage which the gun also needs.

Things Xenophage needs for a catalyst: -Bigger mag/more reserves. We already have catalysts that do both of these (Duality, Eriana's Vow, Leviathan's Breath and Tractor Cannon come to mind), either via a perk or adding to the weapons stats directly. - Either a faster reload, reconstruction or auto-loading holster. Things Xenophage needs in general: - Anti-Unstoppable instrinsically. This thing is a dang auto cannon disguised as a machine gun. Treat it as such. - Toxin? What toxin? Either let it deal poison or, as the name Pyrotoxin rounds suggests too, scorch damage. Or heck, both. - Give it an actual exotic trait. Most exotic weapons have an exotic intrinsic and an exotic trait. Every other weapon released in the Shadowkeep era does. The fact that Xenophage, a gun hidden behind a secret quest, multiple secret puzzles and dungeon shenanigans only for it to get just RANGE FINDER, is insulting. I can make a crafted legendary weapon feel more exotic than this!
