In the new dlc, bungie will not add any weapons that can be crafted because content creator's complained about its opinion. is why add something to the game and then remove it also the bs from bungie saying we will not sunset any content, but that is exactly what they are doing here

They are adding the chase back clear and simple…….. They want you to chase and play new content. People stop playing if they get their guns and can make them any way they want. Now they are moving forward like other games, incentivizing you to chase what’s new and play with it for bonus damage regardless of perks. Loot grind is back. Keep your pvp rolls you like and move forward, or get left behind.

crafted before the tier system was bad for the game now imo they can add crafting back and locking the crafted weapons at tier 1
-
Yeah they should have added crafting to the seasonal weapons like the ones from this season

Edited by THE GRIND IS REAL: 6/15/2025 12:51:52 PMYep , question is how many times are you going to let bungie say they promise no more sunsetting then they keep doing it . Bungies word is worth Jack sxxx

Craft weapon will be for only Exotic and Raid only.
-
They are planning on looking at crafting later but want to find a healthy balance between crafting and loot chase. Hopefully crafting is used as a catch up and for seasonal weapons.
-
At least let’s us craft the older seasonal weapons
-
I am hoping they still have some deepsight harmonisers in the season pass ... if they don't that will be really, really bad.
-
The only people that didn't like crafting are the ones that play in teams. This community is so toxic they can't stand the idea that good loot is available to everyone.
-
I would appreciate having it back. But I doubt this will happen again, because of the new game director and his own vision of Destiny 2. Hypothetical, crafting still could have its place. With an amount of basic perks and random drops with top-tier perks. I think this would encourage both sides. I personally saw it right from the start as a strong update and a pace forward. But that form of Destiny 2 with its big DLCs is gone now. Bungie reduced his workforce drastically. The creative and the Q&A team are gone. And the content is back where it was with Activision. It's up to you, OP, to make the best out of it or to look for something else.

Frankly crafting should become unlocks. You get drop with 2 random but need to use it to unlock new mods. Depending on Bungie’s mood unlock either stays with that weapon or new drops of same weapon. This reduces reliance on RNG, promotes playtime, improves trying new mods, and new weapons. Frankly if we are concerned with old guardians storing god rolls having the ability to purchase and having unlocks follow would be ideal. I can hope, but as a quality of life improvement it will be ignored.

Why there are bots in this comment section hating on crafting? Seriously, if you dont like crafting, dont use it. Chase your weapons the old way and ignore the ability to craft them, even when you have all the 5 red boarders. Anyway, yeah its shame. Crafting brought some new life into my Destiny experience. Suddenly I've got the motivation to play some raids, buy season passes etc. 2022 was good.

I’m not a content creator and I never liked crafting. Farming red borders is boring. Anything not a red border is worthless then when crafted, everything after is pointless. You only want those 5 red borders and then everyone has the exact same perfect weapon. No looter should work that way
-
Not adding more weapons that can be crafted, is not sunsetting Old seasonal content that had craftable weapons that left us have found their way to xur, the gunsmith or into replaying exotic missions as part of their loot pool Some of the upcoming exotics will be craftable
-
Sorry man, I’m super happy they’re pulling crafting out to the pasture. I don’t like the sunsetting of our gear being proposed in EoF, but the crafting being removed and the game going back to being a looter shooter is awesome to me.
-
Wasn’t just content creators a lot of people hated crafting it was unhealthy to this game made it to easy to get god rolls and made all drops meaningless unless it was a red border for pattern. Crafting if comes back should be a catch up mechanic only like ones you can’t get that weapon anymore have the patterns for sale by cut out side of that go grind you loot becuase this is a looter shooter not a bob the builder game
-
More likely bungie going to limited craft weapons and force us to grind weapons that we can get. I don’t know if improving or not cuz it offers 3 enchantments perks on third and forth rows for 5th masterwork tier. It going to more challenges for tiers masterwork.
-
The problem with crafting is that it shortens the grind and shortens the lifespan on whatever activity the craftable weapons drop from. Once folks got the patterns from Episode 1, suddenly seasonal activity playlists were dead. Players got the loot and left. I have trouble finding folks to raid with because once players have all the patterns, there's no loot to chase in the raid.

The game is changing in terms of loot and few other things being added. Nothing is being sunset

1) They're "sunsetting" armour 2) Crafting shortened playtime and therefore not a good thing. They've tried it. It's detrimental to their game play.........so it's going. For armour we're at least getting something..............for Weapons.........well it's back to grinding until you get lucky.

They’ve said crafting is now a catch up mechanism for new and returning players. I like crafting because my RNG is awful but I understand why they’ve backed away from it.
