Over the past 48 hours, the connect to Destiny2 servers has been terrible. It drops constantly and yesterday I simply couldn’t connect. Error codes centipede and baboon. I am on LAN, have reset the modem, reinstalled the game, reset the ps5 and still the same issue. Please provide guidance
This is the only online game that I have issues with. I have followed all the troubleshooting and still consistent issues occur - Contacting Destiny Servers.
Melbourne location. No ISP concerns. Streaming runs perfectly, all other services / devices run perfectly. Simply connection to Bungie servers
UPDATE 16:00 15 Jun - spent all day working with ISP to correct. No dropouts occurring from ISP service. Consistent high speed levels and no packet drops. Removed gateway and enabled full access through router. Reviewed DNS. Now it’s worse!!!! Now getting ‘weasel’ error and not able to get to the first option screen.

Same issue again! I was affected by this issue back on the 15th and it was fixed after background maintenance. Tried logging on this evening and I'm hit with the same errors and just straight "destiny 2 servers are unavailable". Internet is working fine with other games. Not sure if it's still TPG/iinet or if I'm just unlucky. Anyone else having this issue tonight?
-
I have been getting constant Weasel and Anteater since the launch of rise of nine. The game is basically unplayable for more than 5 minutes at a time. NA region. also tried all of the common solutions, nothing has worked. Every other game works fine with no disconnects. only D2 is unplayable. ISP is fine says no problems.
-
Looks like the problem may have been fixed now. Can anyone else confirm?
-
I’ve been having this problem for like 3 days I’m in Melbourne and have legit not been able to make it past character selection I can stay on character selection for ages but the second I pick one weasel I got on for not even 30 min yesterday and thought it was fixed not sure what’s going on as I have friends in aus and one who is close to Melbourne who are fine I’m with TPG and I would contact TPG but I wouldn’t even know what to ask to fix this if anyone know if this is on my providers end or if this is 100% bungie id apprecitate it iv done legit all I can on my end P.S if anyone knows of someone in or near Melbourne who can actually play destiny 2 right now let me know and if they use TPG
-
Given there’s people complaining on reddit as well as Bungie forums would be mint if Bungie could acknowledge this?
-
Same issue here in south East qld. Weasel, centipede. Tried everything, spoke with internet provider, everything else works fine, just not d2. As soon as I pick character it goes straight to error screen
-
Same here in Brisbane internet is fine and have done all trouble shooting options and can't get past character login just keep getting chicken, weasel codes been happening 2 days also.
-
Se qld, aus. Having the exact same problem. Been having the same problem since Friday afternoon. Contacted my ip and they even said everything is running flawlessly. Hopefully bungie can get on top of this.
-

Same issue here. Brisbane local playing on PC with TPG Internet. Can reach the character select screen but no further. Weasel and Centipede error codes which first started at 6:30PM AEST on Friday, the 13th of June.
-
Weasel code and contacting since Friday 8pm
-
I’m in Australia and have also been receiving-weasel- errors for the past 4 days. Have tried all troubleshooting steps as well as trying DNS settings via iiNet support team with no luck.

Edited by Bretto: 6/17/2025 3:16:07 AMI'm not even playing Destiny at the moment but still visit the forum from time to time because I've been here since Halo 3. The issue is impacting many live service titles. I'm currently trying to access 2K game servers without luck (TPG subsidiary customer). zeke1904 on Reddit claims to have run some tests and advised the following: "The Tracert to destiny seemed to have some resolve, the local connections with tpg were fine but the problem seemed to arise the second it tried to communicate through cogent network which seems to be the backbone network tpg uses." edit: Should probably add, the connection is not completely broken. In Destiny, I can't get past the character screen. PGA2K25 is less picky on connection quality. You can get through, but performance is throttled dramatically. Runs like dial-up for those old enough to have experienced the internet in the 1990s.

Reading up on some reddit pages it seems to be linked to anyone that has internet that is run by TPG so iinet, Vodafone etc same thing happened 2 years ago when TPG did some maintenance and people couldn't log in for almost 6 days

Edited by Guystokesau1: 6/16/2025 12:02:16 PMIt's definitely an AU wide issue, I just can't find any information on it online at all. But yeah, my iinet is getting 30mbps on speed testing now... Update as of 16th June: still causing major issues for me, no resolve on contacting the customer service at iinet either, I sent a DM to iinets twitter account with the following: Hi iiNet team, It seems that a large number of users on TPG and its affiliated ISPs (including iiNet) are experiencing major issues connecting to the online multiplayer game Destiny 2. Personally, I haven’t been able to connect since Friday. I managed to get in briefly today, but then started receiving repeated error codes and was disconnected again. Others are reporting the same issue in various forums, including: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/264813777 https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/1lbniwa/server_issues_aus/ And a similar situation from a few years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/qaaot6/players_in_australia_with_tpgowned_isps_tpg/ The team at Bungie is directing affected players to contact their ISPs, but I've already checked the iiNet Toolbox and no outages are showing on your end. I suspect there may be packet loss or routing issues in the background, possibly related to your network’s connection to Bungie’s servers. I should note that when I use my phone as a hotspot, Destiny 2 connects without any issues—so this definitely appears to be related specifically to the ISP routing path, not the game or my hardware. It’s incredibly frustrating, and switching providers shouldn’t be the only fix for playing one online game. I’d really appreciate it if your network team could investigate this further. Thanks for your time. ____ Will let you know if I get a response. There's 1 comment on reddit that needs to be seen and responded to that would really help actually sort thus issue out: "Can someone who is not with TPG and is on PC and the game is working fine in Aus, do the following on their PC please? 1. Launch Destiny 2 and Select your Character and wait until you are in orbit 2. Open Task Manager and navigate to Performance and at the bottom Open up Resource Monitor 3. Navigate to Network tab, that is right beside Disk 4. Click on TCP Connections and you would see Destiny 2 on the top You can then see all the connections that Destiny 2 has. And then those of us with non working D2 can use tools like PingPlotter to figure out where it may be going wrong?" If anyone is able to follow those steps go reply to him here Or don't, I've done my part. Further edit: iinets response "Thanks for that. We've taken note of this on your account under reference number ********. We've also brought this to the attention of our engineers to investigate these reports and determine what can be done from our end to get your connection to those servers working again. If you're able to narrow down the specific IP address of the server and run a test or trace route to it from an iiNet connection, send those details through, and we'll pass that along as well." I hope this means they are looking for a solution for the issue as a whole, but I am cautious as the response clearly states they will look at what can be done to get 'your' connection going again... You guys may also have to raise a ticket, just @ them on twitter.

Brisbane here, PS5, and all the same issues. Started 2 days ago. Have done everything everyone else seems to have tried from the above comments. Just returned as well to the game which isn't making me feel good about things. Is there seriously no way to report this and get a response? Seems like there is enough evidence to suggest it isn't just someone doing something silly with their network settings...
-
we're such a tiny percentage of players, I'd like to hope they'd still have attention for us in coming days
-
Yeah, same issue. Tried to connect on 2 platforms (Xbox & PC) in 3 different ways (wired, wireless and hotspotting to a Telstra networked phone), nothing. It's worse today, too. Could log in at least yesterday, not even getting that far today. Hopefully we can get some more visibility on this.
-
Literally haven't been able to play for the last 48hrs.. as with the rest, I've done all troubleshooting recommendations and still donuts.. can stream and or play any other game except destiny.. frustrating part personally is the lack of acknowledgement from Bungo!
-
I’m having the same issue on both Destiny 2 & Apex. Can’t get into the servers unless im using my phone as a hotspot. So weird I’ve tried everything
-
Try again now.

Edited by Mullygrubb: 6/16/2025 6:15:48 AMThis season is my first time back playing since a few months after D2 released so I'm a bit out of the loop, but is it normal to get zero acknowledgement from these guys, lol? 3 days in a row now...
-
Super stoked bungo have replied and acknowledged this issue...
-
This is homecoming a joke almost 3 days of server issues and Bu tie hasn’t even done anything.
