I was playing with a guy that was rude in chat, calling me and another player -blam!-, so I said that should change his tone and he went on a hateful spree

While it’s not fun to receive messages like that, you give them power by reacting to it. That’s all they want; a reaction. So don’t give them one, and move on. Still hurts though… I feel for you.
-
Just ignore people my friend. That's what the mute and block buttons are for. Never answer back, that is one of the worst things you can do. Don't give morons the attention they crave. They want you to answer back. Don't!! A person who says hateful things like that is doing it for attention, don't give it to them. One of my favorite sayings is this, "Some people have something to say, most people just want to say something". And in this case your insulter is just some bozo who wants attention.
-
The -blam!- would not say it to you in real life little virgin living with his ma in the basement. Block em sorted.
-
That's a compliment bro. Means you were playing well
-
-
Just block them, problem solved. Who cares what anyone else thinks anyways!

Edited by Franco-Nevada: 6/13/2025 6:16:50 AMYeah, there are a lot of great people that are fun to play with, but also a small toxic minority of mentally disturbed miscreants in dire need of therapy and a hard-nosed probation officer.
-
Thus is the internet Like people with username Covid 19, and people treating it like a joke Covid killed one of my close freinds and clanmates Nothing I can do about it except ignore it and don't let it bother me

Edited by THE GRIND IS REAL: 6/12/2025 10:36:46 PMYep another reason why I don't main d2 the quality of people playing this game plummeted years ago ,d2 was either top or in the top3 for most toxic community's, better games out there with better/ less salty people to play with ggs

All these walnuts in the comments telling you to get over it can suck it. It’s a horrible thing to go through cyberbullying, and there’s COUNTLESS stories of people ending their lives because of it. I’m sorry this happened to you. That person probably has no friends, no one who loves them, and does nothing but play games and whine. Probably never touches grass, never sees the sun, never showers. Probably just a human bedsore at this point. So don’t worry about them. Hug your parents, and keep playing.

Report, block and move on. Gaming is chock full of unstable people.
-
New to the internet?
-
Would’ve never lasted in OG CoD4 lobbies.

Sometimes life explode face from skull. - old
Yeah had that a couple of times I usually just say "Naughty Naughty you teasing me" which just seems to make them even angrier and by all accounts even more hilarious. -
Ya that guy probably just wants attention fishing for reactions... ignore, block or mute them immediately problem solved then report them after... then not your problem anymore
-
Youd never last in a 2010s cod lobby. Pathetic.
-
Outrageous! I hope you reported and I hope they get banned!
-
Never let anonymous internet words ruffle your feathers
-
dont let someone words change your emotions, be in control
-
Brother it’s a online game and there are words come on
-
If I get messages like that I just reply with "Sorry, I don't do requests". Seriously though .. block, ignore and move on.
-
This is Destiny and this is Bungie - you're probably more likely to get a ban by repeating it than actually saying it in the first place. Report, block, move on (and if that means moving on to another game, then so be it)
-
That’s crazy….. anyways
-
God just block and move on. This is online for you where people hide behind their keyboards and act all tough
