I just find it funny how when we accomplish or complete certain triumphs in the game that instead of an in-game reward, Bungie says hey you can now buy your reward from the Bungie store...
Wtf lol, yay!!!!!!

The arrogance of patting you on the head and then telling you that you've earned the right to spend money with them is staggering. They won't give you what you pay for but they'll sell you what you play for... boils my blood, that...

What’s even better is when one tries to purchase items via the clunky interface at the BHQ Store. There are some nice items available, suitable as birthday or Xmas gifts for Destiny gamers…but whenever I’ve tried - it got too clunky and way too slow…so, I bounced every time. Amazon is my best option now - super quick, super easy, and though the selection of desirable items is limited, it’s a much better purchasing experience altogether! 🤑 And, no, I don’t buy pins / rings / belts / caps / T-shirts/ jackets/ etc… 😁 Just the stuff that I like, and will make a nice gift for my wingman (son), 👻 eg, ghost - model / cushions, engram plushes, statues and models, etc. BHQ - take note (again) 👈 That is all. Carry On. 🖖

Yeah. Bought the Reckoner and Reaper title pins when I still had some semblance of respect for this company. Hoping they’ll be worth something one day the same way physical copies of Concord will be.

Another good one is grinding for GM gilding then if you claim it ,your punished by locking you out of running other gm"s . This company is not your friend. this is the main reason l will not be buying the next expansion .they continue Making the game miserable.

Exactly… yay, we need more money! How about buying this overpriced shirt? Seriously? I wouldn’t wear any of this if you were not an employee. I think one could get beat up for wearing any of those cheesy jackets.

Bungie is greedy, in other news, the sun came out today.
-
Yes this has always made me chuckle (Not in a good way Bungie) "Congratulations, you have earned the right to make a purchase with us" As if it's something special when in fact it's pathetic.
-
You beat (x) now give us money. -Bungie

That is kind of "Hmph," isn't it?

Edited by Dragokin: 6/11/2025 2:48:29 PMAh yes merch valuable content when you know instead they could fix the bugs or make sure the events are fun to play but they are all over making sure you have a triumph that a rock can complete for the exalted privilege of buying junk that no one will buy when they could put that design and production money in to the actual game ..

Seems really silly to have a company make it harder and harder for its consumers to purchase items from said company by placing them behind skill walls. Imagine what would happen if alot of those walls were removed and people could purchase a wider variety of items. OR, If bungie didn't keep upping the difficulty further shutting out more and more players from purhasing. They do it to themselves and then wonder why engagement keeps falling, why morale is found under the bathtub scum in those grout crevaces, and why presales are abysmal. Because whomever is driving the bus.. might actually be blind and deaf to what is going on in the bus and outside of it.

It is an old marketing gimmick that tends to be very low volume. On a side note, has anyone purchased any of these? On first glance some look to be of decent quality. I am more curious on whom Bungie uses as a source than buying anything.

LOL! I got an offer to buy a poster after completing Master Spire of the Watcher for the first time.
